A few days before Ohana. That’s a bit annoying.
I got an email from TM about Neil Young tickets going on sale - my first thought was "what the hell". I am glad he is healthy and is playing shows - but "what the hell"

Yeah, I’m looking forward to that (whenever it comes out…) The song anecdotes that were in the liner notes of Decade were pretty cool, it’ll be interesting to see what stories Neil includes in the book.

Neil Young writing a Sci-fi novel?  Fascinating!  Let me guess:  It will include silver spaceships flying into the yellow haze of the sun?

  • ORS 6 will make people here happy.
  • Personally, I still need Unplugged, so I'll be happy too.

  • I want an Unplugged with no songs cut

How about a box set with the scrapped Unplugged?

I thought Neil sounded really good. That was a great Powderfinger to close the set. Nice to see Spooner Oldham playing with The Chrome Hearts too!

  • Very last minute I realize but I have an extra GA ticket to tonight’s (9/23) Neil Young and the Chrome hearts show at the Capitol Theater in Port Chester. My wife can no longer attend and it seems I have no other resale options due to it being a non transferable ticket. If anyone is interested in paying face value for the ticket ($190) I could meet you and walk in with you. Will cross post in the main PJ thread as well. Thanks!

And people complain about Pearl Jam sets and prices. $200+ and14 songs. No thanks Uncle Neil. I live 15 minutes away from that venue and this was a hard pass due to the prices. I am sure the setting at the cap was great and the songs were good.

Yeah. I've been priced out of fancy shows for a while. Definitely becoming a luxury.

I wanted to go to one of these shows very badly as I am also 15 minutes away.  I had tix for Monday but sold them because I had to work late.  Yesterday I got out of my last meeting at 7:30 and was tempted to grab last second tix.  But I could not justify the price, especially after seeing it was a short set the night before and to be honest the set didn't even look that good to me.

I paid $150 off a secondary site to see Chris Cornell at the cap on his solo tour. It was well worth it. Maybe the best ticket I have bought given the circumstances. It is a great venue. But when I see Neil's prices, it is a hard pass. I have seen Neil many times, but he lost me on the Greendale tour at Radio City with $238 dollar tickets and a mediocre show. David Gilmour is the same. Not paying $300 to hear your new record and playing with your daughter.
