    I like the song the more I hear it. Only listening on phone so far so should sound better through stereo. I expected the overall sound of new music from them to be more polished and that's what I see from this song. The nine year gap between albums and Brian's solo stuff will definitely have a big effect on their sound. This should sound good live.

    I gotta be honest and say that it sounds like a Gaslight composition played by another band. Very bland dentist office sound. Was hoping for more. I guess we will see when the whole album is dropped.

    Listened to it twice through and not really digging it. There's something weird going on with the vocals. Noticeably weaker and the production sounds odd - like they were recorded separately and not mixed well.

    Completely agree. It’s not that it’s a bad song but this makes it bad 

    I played one of the new national songs right after and it was so glaring how bad the mix / production was

    Wow Avail, Snapcase and Strike Anywhere? That show sounds amazing. I’ve never seen Avail, they’ve been a favourite band for a long, long time.

    Yeah I like the actual song but the mix on it sounds awful.  Very strange.

    Didn't notice as much on my phone but after listening on stereo there's definitely something odd sounding with the vocals. Really noticable in the bridge where there's a glitch or skip in the vocals. Hard to believe it's on purpose maybe they rushed to put it out before the shows start.

    Yes...I was trying to find a semi-intelligent way to say "it sounds like the vocals were recorded on shittier equipment and they just mashed it all together."
