also a few interesting things to note:
1. forgivers have changed their profile to maroon as well. they also deleted all of their social media posts. at least on instagram. this is the band with alex l and alex r in it.
2. mercy union released a new single today, and a new promo photo. benny h is in this band with jared hart. benny was not in the promo photo. just jared, nick, and rocky.
i am wondering if the alexes put forgivers on hiatus and benny left mercy union to reform tga?
as an aside, i would hate it for jared if benny left mercy union."You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry." - Lincoln

And it looks like it will be in my hometown. Great!gimmesometruth27 said:

Gotta think this more than just a reunion tour since it looks like Benny is out on Mercy Union. New Mercy Union songs sound pretty good.gimmesometruth27 said:also a few interesting things to note:

Another teaser today. Someone on Twitter astutely pointed out this is the beginning of their Drive video. Gotta think it’s at least a sink or swim anniversary tour.0
-
Didn't realize that was similar to the Drive video. Although the teaser today sounds like a screen being pulled down and then a projector starting to play??? I'm wasting way too much time trying to figure this out....just wish they would announce whatever this is already!!Jdub5521 said:Another teaser today. I agree with a sink or swim 15 year anniversary tour. Easy cash grab for them to do another 8-10 shows, and I'll gladly pay. I still don't ever see them recording new music, but we'll see. I'm surprised they are actually (potentially) touring as it is.9/1/00, 4/28/03, 7/5/03, 7/6/03, 7/12/03, 10/1/04, 9/28/05, 5/27/06, 5/28/06, 6/1/06, 6/27/08, 6/30/08, 8/7/08 (EV), 6/12/09 (EV), 10/27/09, 10/28/09,10/30/09, 10/31/09, 5/21/10, 6/15/11 (EV), 9/2/12, 7/19/13, 10/21/13, 10/22/13, 10/27/13, 4/28/16, 4/29/16, 8/7/16, 11/4/16 (TOTD), 8/18/18, 8/20/18, 9/24/21 (EV&Earthlings), 9/26/21, 9/11/2022, 9/14/2022, 9/7/2024, 9/9/2024, 9/12/2024, 5/16/2025, 5/18/20250

New music would be shocking but this seems like a lot of effort for just another anniversary tour. And the fact that Benny doesn't look to be involved with Mercy Union anymore makes me think it's something else??? Seems odd he would leave that band if it was just Gaslight doing a few dates.pjpitt89 said:I agree with a sink or swim 15 year anniversary tour. I’m hoping for new music. Brian’s solo career has become a bit sad as weird. I love a lot of it but would be better as a side solo career which I think most would agree with.Indifference71 said:

That being said I don’t think this is anything but a quick summer anniversary tour as well.I wouldn’t read too much into Benny not in the Mercy Union promos. A few weeks ago he wrote this on twitter which makes it sound like he’s working a real job potentially

I unfortunately agree that the solo stuff is a bit sad. Saw him and his band at town hall in nyc a couple weeks ago and it was maaaaaybe 75% full. Couldn’t help but put myself in his shoes and think what the hell am I doing. Get the real band back together man.Daron Oshay said:

Yeahhhh his last 2 solo albums have been rough. I really liked the first 2 solo albums and saw him on both of those tours but these last 2 were not for me. Going in a way too mellow direction. Also noticed Ian Perkins wasn't on this latest tour with him which is weird because he has always been on tour with BF.Daron Oshay said:

Looking more like a film release? That would be quite a bummer for me...9/1/00, 4/28/03, 7/5/03, 7/6/03, 7/12/03, 10/1/04, 9/28/05, 5/27/06, 5/28/06, 6/1/06, 6/27/08, 6/30/08, 8/7/08 (EV), 6/12/09 (EV), 10/27/09, 10/28/09,10/30/09, 10/31/09, 5/21/10, 6/15/11 (EV), 9/2/12, 7/19/13, 10/21/13, 10/22/13, 10/27/13, 4/28/16, 4/29/16, 8/7/16, 11/4/16 (TOTD), 8/18/18, 8/20/18, 9/24/21 (EV&Earthlings), 9/26/21, 9/11/2022, 9/14/2022, 9/7/2024, 9/9/2024, 9/12/2024, 5/16/2025, 5/18/20250

Isn't this year the 10th anniversary of handwritten? As long as they're back for any reason is great news to me0

No clue what to expect at this point. Just hope that whatever this turns out to be is worth all this hype!0 -
Well it certainly isn’t new music now0
-
I don't know. That new picture makes me think it's something more than just an annivesary tour or a vinyl re-release....why would they be doing a photo shoot it it wasn't something major?? Guessing we get the announcement of whatever this is tomorrow since the teaser video looks to be complete now.Daron Oshay said:Well it certainly isn’t new music now0 -
