like chrom, i think the pros of camping outweigh the cons, mainly the convenience factor. i can imagine listening to some tunes around a fire with the mountains around. does anyone know if it'll be a full-moon (or close)?

HEY - my aunt & uncle out in Seattle own an RV. There's an idea ;)

sad thing is at wildhorse-no campfires....hmm, little grill?.....anyway around it?....eh just my thoughts..i love camping...but will def. miss a campfire........

Damn, with no fire and little if any moon, it's going to be really dark out on the old campsite.

No fires is due to how dry it is out there. They are in a "Fire Danger Zone" - we will make due and find some light somehow :)

I have thought about this now for a few days. I may change my mind, but most likely not.

I will not be sleeping at teh campground on the nights of either Gorge shows. With sunrise at 5:30am and the summer heat, and a drunken long night before, and a long day in the sun (from 6am until show time) ahead upon awakening, I've decided against *sleeping* at the campground.

However, I am down with hanging at the campground until 2am or whenever, but my black ass will be headed back to the ho-tel (in the little town 45 mins away) when it's time to wrap up. I'll shower, turn the AC to 65, drink a beer, wrap the blanket around me, & fall asleep. The day of Gorge II, I'll do whatever and see ya'lls later that afternoon at the campground.

You gotta do you. I totally understand staying at the hotel, especially if its only 45 min away. Hopefully we'll all get to hang out other than for a few minutes before the show. It should be a great trip no matter where anyone stays.
And don't be surprised if you hear about me waking up at 5AM and finishing my sleeping in the car with the AC turned on or under a cold shower :D

Oh don't worry, we'll def hang out more than a few before the show. I may get to the campground a few hours before the show & hang at the camp until 3am afterwards, but I'm just not sleeping there.

How far is the camp from The Gorge?

Sounds about right. Hard to tell since they don't list an actual address for the campground or I can't find one at least.

    Email from Scott at Wildhorse

    Hi Matt,

We are just around the corner from the Gorge, about 1 mile. The Quincy
Lakes are about 2.5 miles from the campground and have great fishing,
    hiking and swimming.

    hope that helps,
    Scott

Awesome. Not a big deal then. It'll be just like we're there, as we'd prolly leave when all heads to bed.

At worse case, those of us ho-telling can pay the $30. By the time we all throw in on it, it won't be much.

All this talk about who's staying where and we've forgetting one key ingredient... where are the liquor/beer stores near the Gorge? :D

And a nice relaxin afternoon of fishing on Sunday sounds good right about now.

I thought about this - George has one gas station (not sure if they have alcohol). We can just but the cheap coolers in Seatac, stock up on the beer there, then just get ice from the campgrounds.

Yeah same thought here. Just noticed though that another campground (getty's cove) has a store on site and they sell beer. Only about 17 miles from the Gorge so if we run out sounds like we have a place to refresh supplies :D

Hmmmm a ticket broker site... Even if it is true, good luck.... could barely sell out a thursday night show and now add one to monday. Doesn't make sense to me.

The only thing that makes me think it could be true is that we found out from a broker site about the Pittsburgh show...
