where is 12th street relative to the ampitheater?

Not walkable....about 10 miles probably. The place mentioned is next to the beach (I believe it's on Atlantic...).

    Where are you staying?

man that is hardcore. I was gonna do that if it weren't for the 6 hour drive. I couldn't talk my limousine driver in to doing it for me

How about Given to fly? I mean flying? The airfare is/ was kinda $ for one way trips, but I got it and IT'S PEARL JAM!!!

Virginia Beach is actually a great place to see a concert. I saw collective soul down there a few years back after doin the rock and roll half marathon. I stayed at the hojo which isn't too far of a walk from the ampitheatre. Virginia Beach is a better area nowadays then it used to be, they cleaned some things up in recent years. Should be a great show

How is the parking lot? Tailgaiting?

I'll be coming down from NYC for the SC and VA shows. I'm flying into the Norfolk airport and I plan on driving to my hotel (which I don't have yet!). How far is the drive if I'm staying someplace close to the venue. Is there any kind of public transportation? My flight from SC doesn't get in until 4:00 in the afternoon. Does that leave me enough time to get there?

By the way, I will have an extra ticket for both shows. 10C # 106xxx. (somebody sent me a PM about those tickets when I posted on another thread. If it was you, please get back in touch. I accidentally deleted your message.)

    Thanks for any info...

  • If I remember correctly from '98 and 2000, no drinking in the parking lot, correct?

If so, BW3's is looking very good.

haha I know I can only make one show this tour. I have 10 vacation days this year and so far I have used 4 and-not including the 3 days for the Va. Beach show- I have 7 more planned this summer. So basically something is going to have to give. I figure I can be "sick" and get 3 days off no big deal.

LOL that sucks though because then you can't go back to work and spout off about how awesome the show was because then they will know you were faking sick!!! :)
