Up to $3.59. Up about $0.59 in about 10 days. I thought we were ok when the US stole all that oil from Venezuela.

Just for a little perspective, gas is nearly $8CAD a gallon in Vancouver today ($1.99/litre right now, it will be well over $2 by tomorrow probably), and that's cheaper than what it is in Europe. The prices you all are complaining about right now is still a really good deal in most other countries, lol.Post edited by PJ_Soul onWith all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. God, you Americans have such cheap gas, even now, it's crazy. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0

Yet the bitching continues. And yet I still see this monstrous gas guzzling pickup trucks and SUVs, often just toting a single person around. I pulled up in my hybrid next to a standard issue/ no extra high lift monster pickup truck the other day and its door handle was as high as the top of my Prius.Oh, but the price of gas... sigh."It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0

Its is all relative. When you are used to paying $2.50 and it goes $3.50 or more, that is a big jump and is not a good deal. You can thank your government for the disparity in pricing.0 -

The only good thing to come out of the higher cost of gas is that people are driving less. The war in Iran is an environmental disaster (read about that here if you have the stomach for it: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2026/mar/21/middle-east-iran-conflict-environment-climate ), so less driving is important for that reason as well. It's time to get off the oil needle. As the article I linked points out, "fossil‑fuelled geopolitics is incompatible with a livable planet"."It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0
