This is wild. I filled up for $3.69/gal last Thursday and thought that was highway robbery. I can't even fathom paying more than $5/gal like I've seen in this thread.

$6.09 for Ultimate Avengers Doomsday grade gas at the local Mobile here in suburban NY. And that was the cash price. $146 total. All-time record for me. And the Ultra credit price sign said $3.49. I should have tried it lol, but I like these guys, so I went in there to ask them if it was correct. It wasn't lol.

I put Premium in my Grand Cherokee. Before this, I leased a Mercedes C300, and it was either recommended, or required, for me to use Premium, so I'm used to it. I honestly don't know if it makes a difference, but I've been using Premium in my truck for the past 5 years, so I don't want to stop now.

Tactical error on my part this week, as I usually fill up in New Jersey where I work, much cheaper there. But I underestimated how much gas I'd use this weekend, and I wasn't due in the office until tomorrow. Didn't have enough to get to Newark tomorrow.

And if you're wondering, yes, I've run out of gas 3 times. Once in the Holland Tunnel. A Port Authority truck had to push me through the tunnel to the Jersey side. The PA employee was cracking up lol.

A man over 20 should never run out of gas. Unless that is how your wife left it. Yes we buy premium for the Acura MDX. Cannot say I ever noticed a real difference.
