    then there is this today...

Zimmerman family friend claims he molested her, new audio tapes reveal

    http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/lookout/zim ... 00334.html

A family friend of George Zimmerman told investigators he sexually molested her on and off for nearly a decade, newly released audio tapes in the Trayvon Martin shooting case reveal.

"He would reach under the blankets and try to do things," the woman—identified as "Witness 9"—told investigators.

She said the molestation occurred at Zimmerman's parents' house.

"I would try to push him off, but he was bigger, stronger and older," she said during the interview conducted on March 20, less than a month after the Feb. 26 shooting. The woman, who contacted prosecutors after Martin's killing, said she was 6 and Zimmerman was 8 when the alleged molestation began. It continued until she was 16, she said.

Investigators asked the woman why she's coming forward now. "This is the first time in my life that I'm not afraid of him," she replied. (The woman also told state investigators that she anonymously called Sanford police after Martin's death to tell them what she knew about Zimmerman.)

Her family would get together with Zimmerman's at least once a year, she said. "Every time that we would go up there, I could just look at him and he would give me a certain look and I would just know it was going to happen when we got together for family gatherings. ... He just got this look in his eye like he was going to [molest me]."

The woman said she was not the only victim. "It's not just me that he would do these things to," she told investigators. But the other alleged victim would never come forward, "Witness 9" said, declining to give investigators her name: "She said she would deny it either way."

"Georgie," she said, would tell her to tell others that they were just lying down or playing hide-n-seek. "Georgie just sucked up to my dad," she said. "He was like the son he never had."

The audio was released on Monday along dozens of recordings from phone calls Zimmerman made while behind bars in April. State prosecutors and defense attorney Mark O'Mara fought to keep the audio files under seal, but Judge Kenneth Lester Jr. ruled the evidence is public information and ordered them to be made available.

Zimmerman was charged with second-degree murder in Martin's death.

O'Mara filed an 11th hour motion to keep "Witness 9" recordings from being released, but the judge did not accept.

"He was very charming and personable with everybody in the family," the woman said of Zimmerman. "But he was different behind closed doors with me. ... He was very intimidating."

She said one of the last incidents occurred when she was 16. Zimmerman, who had graduated from high school and moved to Florida with his family, massaged and kissed her, causing her to run out of the home. The woman said she eventually quit attending family functions if she thought he was going to be there.

"I couldn't take it," she said. "I didn't want to be around him anymore."

She said she eventually told her sister about her encounters with Zimmerman. The woman's sister then told her parents.

The alleged victim said she and her parents tried to discuss the abuse with Zimmerman at a Lake Mary, Fla., restaurant in 2005. "He said, 'I'm sorry' and just got up and walked out."

    What were these racist remarks?

Actually, doesn't even matter, what matters is whether or not he was defending himself when he killed a kid.

Zimmerman to appear on Fox to "open up" about night of Trayvon Martin shooting

    http://usnews.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/ ... sr=(direct)|utmccn=(direct)|utmcmd=(none)&__utmv=14933801.|8=Earned%20By=msnbc%7Ccover=1^12=Landing%20Content=Mixed=1^13=Landing%20Hostname=www.nbcnews.com=1^30=Visit%20Type%20to%20Content=Earned%20to%20Mixed=1&__utmk=248566023

George Zimmerman has granted an exclusive interview to Fox News' Sean Hannity, scheduled to air Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET, Fox announced.

"Zimmerman will open up about what happened the night of Trayvon Martin’s death and his experience in the aftermath of the fatal shooting," according to a Fox press release.

Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of Martin, an unarmed black teenager, on Feb. 26 in Sanford, Fla. The case has become the focus of national media, and ignited an emotional debate over race and gun rights.

Zimmerman has pleaded innocent to the murder charge, and asserts that he shot Martin in self defense after Martin attacked him. He is currently out on bail preparing for a trial.

During the hour-long interview to air on Hannity’s program, Zimmerman and attorney Mark O’Mara will discuss the night of the shooting, and address rumors about about bail donations and hidden money, Mediabistro.com reported.

The interview is slated to run a second time at midnight ET.

i wonder why he is doing this now?

i think i might have to watch it, unless listening to hannity makes my tv explode tonight...

background checks? how about iq tests before you can buy a gun
He described the evening of the shooting and what made him believe that Trayvon Martin was suspicious, saying, “I felt he was suspicious because it was raining, he was in between houses, cutting in between houses, and he was walking very leisurely for the weather.” Zimmmerman went onto say that Martin didn’t appear as though he were a resident checking his mail or a fitness fanatic who was outside for exercise.

that interview was a waste of an hour of my life that i will never get back. hannity led him and guided his questions to get a specific answer on some of those questions. it was almost as if hannity would ask the question and it would cut away to zimmerman and i could almost envision hannity winking to zimmerman when the camera was not on hannity.

he said he does not regret carrying a gun, does not regret getting out of the car that night, does not regret what happened, and said he was comfortable "because it was all god's plan." if you hava a trial coming up, and you are a pariah, wouldn't you at least say that you regret what happened?

i hope this interview is taken into evidence in the trial because a good attorney would have probed a lot of his answers.

Ok, seriously? Did you expect to get a hard hitting interview of a guy that hasn't gone to trial yet? Really? Think about it for 1 minute. What did you really think would happen? Even if you were on the guy's side...would you think this interview would have any real value to it prior to happening? :fp:

Really, he should shut up and stay away from the media at all costs until trial is over. I caught a few questions on the local news this morning when they were recapping.

No matter what you think of the situation or the details, I gotta think you felt a little sick when he said that he's sorry Trayvon's parents had to bury their child and that he prayed for them everyday...really? What a jerk. This is why he shouldn't have been talking in the the first place. Until the trial is over a comment like that sounds creepy at best.

i expected follow up questioning, not hannity leading him along like he did. what hannity did would be objected and sustained in court because he was leading him and putting words in his mouth. hannity talks a lot of shit, and he had the chance to ask hard questions but he didn't. he tossed softballs and it was a waste of time watching it. i don't even know why his attorney allowed him to participate in the interview because his dumbass client might let something slip out, and i think he did. his story was inconsistent on at least 2 occasions that i caught and hannity led him right back to make it seem more consistent. i was actually taking to my tv asking follow up questions that were not asked....

the kicker was when he denied knowing about any sort of stand your ground law. wouldn't that be something that is taught in gun class when getting a permit? he is a liar, or the state of florida does a terrible job educating gun owners on the legal aspects of owning and carrying a gun in that state...

i agree, he should shut up and stay out of the media. i am thinking he did the interview to taint the potential jury pool.. that has to be the moivation, besides getting more donations, for doing the interview. if i were his attorney i would try to taint the jury pool and argue that it is impossible to get a fair trial and move it elsewhere.

and yes, i was sickened by his "apology" to his parents, and even moreso by his "apology" to america for causing a division.... and why would god have a plan for trayvon that entailed him getting gunned down at 17? and why would he/she have a plan that included zimmerman killing someone.

zimmerman says he is not a murderer...he shot someone, they died, isn't that the definition of murder? using a device to kill them?

Well, that would depend on the circumstances wouldn't it? That is why there are manslaughter and self-defense.

So, I think he was using murderer in the court-definition sense.

    and then there's this
Barbara Walters walked away from an interview with Trayvon Martin shooter George Zimmerman after the former neighborhood watchman demanded at the last minute that, in return for the chat, ABC put him and his wife up in a hotel for a month, a source told Page Six. Walters flew down to Florida early yesterday and met with Zimmerman and his lawyer to discuss the possibility of a lengthy TV sitdown. Her interview would have taken place after he was done talking with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, a situation that already made the newswoman leery, we’re told, as she prefers to land exclusives. But we’re told that Walters was “appalled” by Zimmerman’s hotel demand, and told him the deal was off. An ABC News spokesman confirmed that Walters met with Zimmerman, but refused to confirm what he asked for. “She went down there with every intention of doing an interview, but Mr. Zimmerman made a demand at the last minute that we could not and would never agree to,” the rep said.
