this band kicked my ass opening for jack white. great live band. probably one of the most diverse looking bands too.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
Butthead: Huh huh.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

They are a must see! I saw them open for Jack White. Was blown away. however, I bought "Boys and Girls" and found the album a tad sleepy. So do not judge this book by its cover if you have not seen them yet.
They are worth the price of admission. One of the most interesting bands I have ever seen!

When 2 or 3 songs were out there before the album came out I was really impressed and excited to hear more. Unfortunately, the album just doesn't do it for me...I like the first couple of songs but find it very difficult to make it through the album. Not sure if I'll even go if they come to town, but everyone HAS been saying they are awesome live.

Hearing them live is COMPLETELY different from listening to their album. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!! There is just something to them live.
And you'd be a fool if you didn't see them live at least once. But that's just my opinion.
I'll be seeing them a second time in Chicago come August

I haven't seen them yet, but I have a feeling about this band...
I got tix for their Boston House of Blues show in October.
I agree about the album being a tad sleepy, I still think it is good, it just has a slow build-up.
I got the Vinyl edition which comes with a 3-song 7" 45. Those 3 songs are smokin'!! Its too bad they aren't on the the main album (although one of them, "Heavy Chevy", is a bonus track on iTunes)
I think touring in support of this album is really going to add some fuel to their confidence and build their strength as a band... I bet there is going to a much stronger sophomore album.
