Thats what everyone has been going crazy about? The lead had a bit of spunk to her, but the other guys just stood there...... This one goes on the shelf for a while.....

I have to agree here. I went to the You Tubes you guys posted earlier in thread. Listened to the first one and was Wow!! Now I know what these guys are talking about. Good groove.

Then, the 2nd one, and said - oh. This is cool. Folks in crowd seem to be enjoying.

Then, went to the 3rd and had to double check I was not clicking on the same song constantly.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

I thought I would love it... I like it...
As far as female led bands I got into recently, Heartless Bastards kick their ass.

    Not for everyone I guess.

Actually they were alot less wild last nite then at a full show.

And I don't judge a band if they just play and not jump around the stage. ;)

Dave seemed to like them. :D

I really enjoy "Hold On" and a few others catch me as well. I guess I over hyped them, I was expecting to be blown away last night. Im sure with a few cocktails in me and anticipating Jack White to hit the stage I'll be more excited!

Done. Very excited. Only $14.00 too. Would never have paid what they are already going for on ebay.

Nope, sorry. I was pretty shocked they had it today, given the album came out on Tuesday. I guess they received only 1 copy. I guess it worked to my advantage that they aren't as well known up here in Maine yet!

Saw the Shakes twice last week in NYC, excellent band. Loved the shows, tremendous live group.

I wrote some notes and put a couple links in the writeup, one from the MTV streaming set at the Webster Hall Studio and the other a full recording of the Bowery Ballroom show.

    Take a look if you get a minute: http://thetremagazine.blogspot.com/2012 ... tudio.html

My new favorite band. This album is so awesome and the live bootlegs are great too.

Yesterday in London, Foster the People covered 'Hold On' with Luke Pritchard from The Kooks-- I think this sounds pretty amazing! Seeing FtP with The Kooks later on this month, hope I get to hear this cover! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyZDkW9vg7M&feature=share
