    It appears the media backlash over the term "pink slime" has led to a company with 850 full time employees to shut down 3 of its 4 plants and file for bankruptcy.

    I thing this case highlights two things.

    1) There needs to be more information provided on the labels of what we are buying by food processors.

    2) There needs to be more responsibility by both professional and social media to gather and deliver well-informed data to the masses instead of lighting the torches and handing out the pitch forks.

    I wonder if a celebrity chef can be sued for slander?
