i hear ya on the travel, but word is that we'll be getting ed in august/sept., so that's good at least...

and i was at that KC show! how about mike jumping into the crowd during his evenflow solo in a hurricane!!! that was crazy. then he slipped and fell down when he got back on stage. fuckin good show

i'm pissed that i didn't go down early enough when mike came out and handed out shirts and talked to everyone up front.

i seriously have not stood out in a rain that hard...wow. couldn't drink my beer fast enough before it would fill up with rain water.

    anyway...good times!

hoping it stays dry for this tour -- at least those last 3 outdoor dates!

wait a sec...ed in the midwest? did i miss that?

10:54 Update: House lights up but Vedder’s still yapping … about somehting … the wine he’s been hitting all night has def kicked in. Not that that’s a bad thing. PJ put on a great show! Oh SHIT! “Yellow Ledbetter” My favorite Pearl Jam song of all times! (Yeah, I’m using exclamation marks like a giddy schoolgirl).

Encores have been disappointing thus far in the tour.

Isn't 23 songs a little on the light side? Not that I'm complaining, but don't they normally do 28-31 song sets?

    Nope. 1 maybe 2 more

it's happened before ... on Mike's birthday ... I was there ... the rare "additional song after Ledbetter."

Yeah, it is. Although they don't get up into the 30s very often. I'd 25-28 are the norm.

It seems like they quit playing those marathon sets a few years back, when they actually started touring again ... as opposed to the eight-date summers that used to pass for a tour.

Me too... I'm so used to the 18 song first set... 6 song 1st encore and then like 2-3 song 2nd (of course those few that hit 30 are a different story altogether).

Well that's what I'm saying, they're only playing 13 shows, so they could totally pull off the longer sets, unlike 70 show world tours.

For me the highlights of this show were Sometimes and Light Years, it's been a while since I've heard either one and I'd love to get them @ the shows I'm going to.

No everyone seems to be under that impression but that is not really the norm for them. Not from what i've seen anyway. There are exceptions of cours but i guess 23-26 is about right
