I intend to create some smoke with fire this evening whilst spinning some PJ and channelling the tour gods to come to Iowa.

Yamma yamma yamma yamma yahhhhhmma...PJ needs to play in Eyeohhhhhhaahhhhh.

    Chant with me fellow Hawkeyes.

This is too good :-) I can already tell it's going to be stuck in my head all day!

I hope the source is right about July...

I use Hawkeyes in the sense that Iowa is the Hawkeye state and therefore a resident of said state would be a Hawkeye. Whilst I do reside in said state, my heart and soul is forever a Hoosier and I do not encourage the chanting of that ridiculous university fight song. ;)

I'd like to add: Hoo Hoo Hoo Hoosiers!

I figured that was implied as football is considered a club sport at IU. ;)

I heard from a 2nd person who knows someone at arena that the show will be in July - i will continue to post anything i hear.

Where there's smoke there's fire my friends!

Wow dude, I hope this all coming from credible sources because PJ back in Iowa and at Wells Fargo Arena I think would be something special.....it'd be very unique. Guarantee that a unique setlist is played if they do play there.

From a former Iowan, the city of Des Moines would be more than accomodating to you PJ. Come on boys, bring it back!

DSM actually might be up for a makeup show... I was just looking through the Goods section under Limited Quantity shirts, and oddly enough there's an avocado tour tee that shows Des Moines as a 2006 planned tour stop - which never actually happened. Anybody that was in 10C six years ago remember anything surrounding this?

Of course, I assume no one is ever "owed" a show (we are all just damn happy to get WHATEVER we get), but if they cancelled one years back and never rescheduled, it would lend additional credibility to the other two claims of the venue being booked in late summer. Given their pattern of make-up shows in the past, it does seem that our band (unlike most others) actually feels a little obligation to the fans when dates get axed at the last minute...

    Please, Please, Please...play Des Moines!

I grew up just north of some you in Dubuque.

Anyhow, a show in Des Moines would be great and a huge draw. I would prefer Iowa City at Carver but that won't happen. So hopefully a show at Wells Fargo this year!

BTW....I frequently lurk (occasionally post) on an Iowa sports message board. There was a thread on the off topic board about seeing a band multiple times last month and I threw in I have seen PJ 52 times. Some guy then asked if I happened to be from Maquoketa, LOL.

It only makes sense because they haven't played in Iowa in a while and Wells Fargo Arena is a pretty good venue, and downtown Des Moines is very underrated. It's also within driving distance of most other major Midwestern cities. It's a slam dunk. But you're right, I will be traveling :D anywhere else they play (hopefully) in the Midwest.

Saw the chili peppers at Wells Fargo and it was great.

But don't get carried away, downtown Des Moines suck unless you are use to living in Ottumwa or some other god awful place.
I agree. I live in Ottumwa,so downton Des Moines or anywhere would be GREAT.
