Pai Gow is not evening gambling...it's a drinking game! Also, did I say it's one of my favorites!!!

Pai Gow is MUCH more fun at 'Card Clubs' or 'Indian Casinos' where you play against other players at the table. Nothing beats raking in dough while 3 total strangers yell at you in Mandarin.

DUAL BP? Oh man, you guys are going to be a wrecking crew.
I love sitting for 5+ hours at a gaming table (some form of poker until I win enough to go play craps) but yeah, my wife doesnt really think that is fun.

Make sure to find a way to let people know it is your bachelor party. You want to run into drunken groups of women so your non-married buddies will be able to increase their chances of being able to party like total morons with the 2 bachelors as well as meet up with an equally wild woman.

My liver hurts for you now.

Yeah, the dual bachelor party is going to be pretty nuts. We're prob going to have like 20-25 guys total. As long as no one ends up in jail or the hospital, I will consider the trip a success. Oh man, I can't fucking wait.

I've only played Pai Gow in Vegas or The Turning Stone which is an Indian Casino here in Central NY. Didn't know they even offered this variant. I would love to be yelled at in some Asian language while drinking!

I feel like a total fucking degenerate when I go and play at the local card clubs. But it is a great amount of fun and my buddy and I might be the only guys speaking English at a table. We are certain they are talking shit on us & that makes it even more fun. Barely a bit of strategy with the game so it is indeed a good one to go and get housed while playing. Being the bank is so much fun....

Vegas is a place I squirm in my seat all of the way to......and lay like a fucking zombie in my seat all of the way back from. (I am positive this is not unusual!)

I think you've stated it perfectly!

  • I've never been to Vegas. Joey and I have decided to plan a getaway at the end of the month and we actually thought about going...then realized that neither of us like to gamble and figured it would be more exciting to getaway somewhere we may actually enjoy more. We picked California. One day when we make it to Vegas, I'll contribute to this thread :D

That's the single worst part of Vegas. There's always someone with an angle there. :x

You want to talk degenerate? Try playing pai gow at the El Cortez on Fremont (oldest casino there...and it smells like it)...they've got $5 mins! While we were there, one of the workers just got off his shift and played a hand at $500. He pushed. Played again. Won. Dude walked away $500 richer within 2 minutes...said he does it EVERY DAY!

That is pretty f'd up. Guy works all day and turns around and puts $500 down. As much as I love to gamble I am very thankful it doesn't hold me by the balls as it does so many others. I learned long ago to understand on my way in what my budget was and to stick to it. Sometimes I win, most times I lose but I always have fun.

It's the El Cortez....if they didn't let their workers gamble there they'd probably be shut down within 2 weeks

While you're in New Orleans you should try the strawberry...also grab a steak while your at it. Ask for ketchup.

I tend to stick with the red (and yes that's how I order it  ). I like the orange too. Is that the 190?
