I agree. I saw them on the by the way tour. Not sold on the new album with John. To me, his live improvs were part of what made them great (also solos he would add to songs to make them fuller and better). But I'd go see the new lineup if tickets were reasonable."All I Ever Knew" available now in print and digital formats at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and iBooks.0 -

I always thought the exact opposite of Frusciante's playing. I always felt alot of the weight of the song would just drop out when he'd change to lead and the switches to the solos were often kinda abrupt. From the little I've heard of the new guy he seems better than Froosh at blending the lead and rhythm work.0 -
First saw them on Freaky Stylie era tour, really hit there peak during BSSM and Mothers Milk ear amazing. But over the past 20+ years they have got staler and staler live.Last saw them on the Californication tour and decided after having seen them 8 times I wouldn't go see them again.“There should be a place where only the things you want to happen, happen”0

I would love to hear Scar Tissue, that song takes me back to my high school days. I know this is like YL to PJ fans, but if I do not hear Under the Bridge, I will be really sad. It looks like they have played that at every show so far.Hearts and thoughts they fade....

The concert near me is sold out and the only place to get tickets is stubhub. Are they worth spending $132 for 1st level tickets? Should I just wait till the next time they come around?0

Two of my work colleagues say they have been once and never again, one even went as far as saying her experience at their concert turned her off the band all together.Adelaide 17/11/2009, Melbourne 20/11/2009, Sydney 22/11/2009, Melbourne (Big Day Out Festival) 24/01/20140

That really scares me. I hate when a band lets you down. I really hope that I am not disappointed. Maybe your colleague caught them on an off night, but they seem to have a few of those, judging from this thread. :-?Hearts and thoughts they fade....

I posted earlier a few pages back, but the show in Dallas for Stadium Arcadium was amazing. I had heard all the same they are "hit or miss" comments from here on this board. My friend and I had a blast. Nobody sat down the entire time. The thing to remember is: they are not Pearl jam. Their show is going to be different. They do jam sometimes instrumentally. I thought it was cool that they showcase each band member indivisually. I,m looking forward to seeing them with Josh. I liked the "I'm with you album" so I am eager to see what he brings to the band live. If anything, it's worth watching Flea play live.PJ: 10/14/00 06/09/03 10/4/09 11/15/13 11/16/13 10/08/14

I saw them in December in Vienna, and I have to say I really enjoyed the show. Only downside was the crowd - they get a lot of pop radio airplay here, so you've got a lot of those people coming to see their shows, who will move for "dani california" and then stand there with blank stares for everything else. But the band sounded good, and they seemed to have fun on stage, especially Flea.0

I was wondering if anyone knows the cost of their t's and stuff at the concert?Seems like tshirts were around $35-45. There was this one awesome blue jacket for $85. Prices were pretty standard.
