My boy Mahomes is now 10th in apy amongst QBs.

with his half a billion contract, I won’t be starting any go fund me’s for him.

some of these other teams are just fucking desperate. I do think lawrence has a much higher ceiling than the jim carrey lookalike.

    Yep.
A comparison of Sunshine Bass' first 48 starts to Danieel Jones is kind of disingenuous when you consider the Urban Meyer factor.
Lawrence has improved steadily and the team around him is getting better little by little.
    This weekend we rock Portland

Lots of QBs play for bad coaches.  And Trevor has pretty good weapons around him.  To me it just shows how valuable the GMs think mediocre qbs are worth.

Trevor has pretty good weapons around him now. Not so in his first year.
Those rookie year numbers skew him into Danny Dimes territory.

It's not like Daniel Jones is running the Niners O either.

What gets me is you have some pundits making un-educated comments (I'm looking at you Richard Sherman), that his contract was a mistake.  The apy is so misleading given how his guaranteed money will never go below $100M if the Chiefs try to cut him until his last season, which he'll never make it to because there will inevitably be a reworking of his contract in the near future.  Plus his contact allows the team to free up cap space if they want to move money from under the cap into a roster bonus if there is a season they feel the need to mortgage the future for a larger name free agent.  Granted that just makes the cap hits down the road larger, but it's worked out well for both sides so far.

Makes me think Niners need to sign BA and Williams extension and trade Brock next year for whatever they can get.
It is fucking out of control.  Unless you have Patty Mahomes it doesn't matter, you are overpaying and sacrificing the rest of your team.

For Niners this is normal, the way they choose to negotiate.  Can't say I love it, but they did same with Warner, Kittle, Deebo, etc.

    Does not seem optimal.

I hope so.  Think they will sign both of their holdouts, but who knows.
    The money is bonkers.
You guys still win vs everyone.
    Damn Mahommes!  Lol

If the rest of the league would stop giving him motivation.

    - Vegas being Vegas and showing off the Kermit the Frog in a Mahomes Jersey
    - 11th amongst QBs in apy
    - I just saw he was ranked #4 in the NFL Top 100

    Keep fanning those flames.

I read about Tom Gravy giving advice to Caleb Williams.
One of the things was the need to keep yourself ultra-motivated, always.

These are the perceived slights you mention.
Anyone with a brain has him as QB1

#1 being Tyreek is also going on the bulletin board.  He’s talked a lot on the Chiefs since going to Miami.  I know this poll was before the playoffs, but it’s nonsensical.  Lamar was voted ahead of him!
