Tua is an incapable and inadequate quarterback if his first read isnt wide open in the first 2 seconds of a play.

I know this is the popular position but I think last night was messed up for him....4 of 5 starting OL were missing after 1st qtr.  3 or 5 didn't dress.
If TN had their beast lineman (he was out, I forget his name) playing it may have been 10 sacks instead of 5.

There are a lot of throws Tua makes which are in anticipation of the player being open, but they are covered when he throws.

Would you want your team to give him something like a 6-year, $50 million contract with a lot guaranteed?

No,I would not.  I like the team I root for's current approach - pay your QB the league minimum.  Let him play at elite level for bargain basement $ and carry huge deals for RB, WR, LB, TE, OL, and multiple DL.
    Brock rules!

Let Brock walk when his deal is up.
Shanny can even make that colossal loser Jimmy G into a productive QB.

This mildly bugs me---- but does anyone find it odd, especially in 2023, that Tommy Devito and his agent being Italian is somehow funny to a lot of people? I'm half Italian and I can see the humor. But what if Tommy Devito was black and had a black agent? Would it be acceptable to make jokes of their blackness? What if Tommy Devito was Asian and had a Chinese agent? Would twitter be laughing at their "overwhelming" Oriental-ness?

Again, I totally get the joke. I just suspect that a lot of the people laughing about it twitter are the same sort of people who would get mad at others for making similar jokes/comments about other races or ethnicities.

^ for me the living at home, eating cutlets and having a loving mama do his choirs is the angle I see… the Italian part is his family being comfortable, they had a giant feast in the lot… heard 300 chicken cutlet sandwiches dished out

It sells. That is all the NFL cares about. I cannot blame Devito's family and team for capitalizing on this opportunity. The difference to what you mention is that those other groups might not get the same traction or "market share." Pure speculation without a real opinion :) I will say that I thought of Benny Blanco when I saw his agent in the stands.

I’m full Italian and won’t be satisfied until DeVito poaches Big Dom from the Eagles to be his Luca Brasi.

And yeah people would go crazy if it was black or Asian stereotypes being joked about. I wouldn’t care in the least, but the jokes probably wouldn’t be all that funny. As opposed to….

Haha.  Daniel Jones is Big Pussy.
    That is funny.
My ancestry is half Italian, my dad's family are all named Italian names. My surname is obviously Italian, and although I don't necessarily look Italian, I've grown up being tagged with the silliest nicknames associated with being of Italian descent.
Can't say it ever bothered me.
I have the perspective of also being Puerto Rican...and knowing that discrimination in America is still strong and real against PRs, the jokes about Italian stuff doesn't bother me like it would have a hundred years ago, when discrimination against Italians was very real here.

    My two cents.

Well our own team has the coach and the team fixer wearing Italian flags on the sideline (gotta get one of those). The agent's outfit was obviously over the top but whatever who cares. I agree with PJH, although I'd say lighten up Francesco.

It's good for football and a feel good story.  People embrace it more than make fun of it.

We got a Goomba's pizza/hoagie place near me and people swear they have among the best cheesesteaks in the burbs. They are pretty damn good, I will admit. I however stay the fuck away because their facebook page is littered with maga shit. Nonstop, or at least it used to be a few years back. I'll never understand businesses who do that stuff knowing they are alienating half their potential customers.
