Uhh yeah who the hell was counting out the Chiefs???  They have Patrick fucking Mahomes at QB!!
  • WobbieWobbie Posts: 30,536
Yeah, it was holding but JuJu wasn't going to catch that ball and he barely held.

it seemed mahomes and juju weren't on the same page on that play...juju was cutting back in when the balled sailed over his head to the outside. had he gone out, the hold may have held him up enough...but he went in. uncatchable ball.

The Eagles were finished.  That was the right call.  It wouldnt have mattered though.
They just drove 75 yards to tie the game on their last drive. Would've only been down three with about a minute and a half left and one timeout remaining. They were not finished.
That assumes that KC wouldn't have gone for it on 4th down though.
True. But Andy Reid would likely have kicked it. He's not as aggressive as most other coaches today.
Wouldn't that have been like 4th and 4?  Zero chance you go for it there.

every KC fan in my timeline was going on about how they were counted out all year. Delusion apparently spurred on by one of their stars.

    Holding call was bogus.
False start was missed and then just assumed when KC pointed it out.

With there being a hold on every play l, curious that KC was able to keep Philly off Mahomes the entire game without a penalty.
Everyone is a victim, even Chiefs fans.

Defensive holding is not dependent on the pass being catchable. I just think it was a bad call.

The Chiefs were clearly never counted out, even if sometimes they were only like 3rd in the power rankings.

I did think it was kind of odd that all of the commentators picked the Eagles before kickoff. None of them on Fox picked KC.

I honestly expected the Eagles to dominate so I was a bit surprised when KC surged back.

It's not like it was a 55 yarder. He had plenty of time to come to terms with it before the kick.

It still has that plastic film on the screen from you first purchase it. The yellow tag is on the bottom left. It's a real, likely cheap, tv...but this whole thing is staged.

Video from Manhattan, KS. Yeah, out-of-the-box yellow tag on the TV. Totally fake.

So here in NY it's all about the Jets acquiring either Carr or Rodgers.  The fan base and talk show hosts think thee is a chance to get them.

So my take on Carr.  He doesn't have "it".  He's good, but not the real deal.  I know he has had a wacky situation in LA with what's happened the last few years but the team quit on him.  They weren't going to play for or with him anymore.  The team checked out.

Rodgers.  Brett Favre 2.0.  Let's get run out of Greenbay and go play for the Jets!  He's good but I'm done with his Shenanigans'.  Jets would improve I'm sure but there is only a 2-3 year window.

    Thoughts?

I think the Jets should hold on to White and develop him a little more.  Dude was good and the team really rallied around him.

Carr would be major upgrade and Wroggers would be even better.  I don't really like Carr and I cannot stand Wroggers.
Jets have good RB, good WR, all sorts of talent on OL if they can get healthy.  Have a good D and good coach for defense.
They truly do need a qb.  I don't like how everyone flushes the high draft picks so quickly.  If they took either of the guys you indicated for 2 years I would think that was great.  Don't know they will want to trade for what GB wants and certainly don't think they will get Carr with a 2 year offer.

Agree they are an upgrade but I really liked that White kid.  He played really well.  Given another year I think he takes them places.  Keep him and they can have more money to bolden the other holes and still draft a QB for later.

Zach Wilson played his final snap for them so they will move on from him.

I don't understand the purpose of buying a new TV just to smash it, even if it is a cheap one. They think they will be social media stars after this or something?
