Similarly, if you remove one other play, the N'Keal Harry "let me return this punt with my facemask" play, the Bills end up with a whopping 3 points. Thus, cherry picking a play to ignore to try and prove a point is worthless.
my point isnt to imply that the Bills really won the game...  It is the rushing stats look a lot different if you remove a pretty huge outlier, and that gets ignored the morning after by all the pundits who paint a somewhat different picture than what really occurred.

Its this narrative that the result was due to some sort of Belichick mastery of running the ball 46 times and getting first down after first down bleeding the clock, which didnt happen.  They still only scored 14 points, and their opponent had plenty of chances to win and kept shooting themselves in the foot.  I believe the Bills' average drive start was north of their 40 yard line

I have immense respect and reverence for Belichick and think he is the greatest coach ever.  They won last night despite the offensive gameplan, not because of it.

And the rest of Buffalo's points came as result of a drive that was extended by a phantom Unnecessary Roughness call on the sideline.

McDermott got embarrassed last night (and he knows it).

To me, the genius of it is simply that they were willing to stick with it despite what Mayday is saying. Yeah they had that one big run that padded their overall stats. But their game plan was to grind it out no matter what. I think they knowingly left points off the board and did whatever they could to control the clock and just let their defense frustrate the Bills who were not willing to do the same thing despite the 40 mph winds. So many other teams abandon their plans when they get down or when the game gets tight.

Can you imagine what a Pats/Bucs Super Bowl would be like? lol

If I could remove one play from the Niners' game on Sunday (fake punt TD allowed) we would have kicked the winning FG as the clock bled out.

You know the NFL wants that SB to happen. Look for questionable officiating throughout the playoffs if it looks possible, particularly in any close games.

I'm not saying that I wish a play were removed to declare buffalo the winner or anything like that.  The play happened.  It's not a "my team would have won if" conversation

It's just the game was not the patriots bleeding the clock and running at will.  They only had 2 drives more than 5 plays and time of possession was equal.  Their defense played great and buffalo coaching and some drops shot themselves in the foot.

If Knox or doggs hangs onto a td catch which was inches away, it would be a 180 degree turn on the narrative and people would be criticizing the running and media would be questioning if belichick trusts Jones to pass, etc.

It's an interesting game.  There is a big debate here locally about indoor vs outdoor for the new stadium.  I prefer outdoor and variability.

That kind of nonsense can work in college but there are zero players in the nfl that will respond to that positively

Yeah, that was bad.  A string of 4-5 calls/no calls that essentially determined the outcome

Rigged? Just a desired outcome on occasion. Why would you believe a $12-$16 billion industry owned by 32 individual organizations would be on the up and up?

  • Yeah I meant to write about this.  I really liked him on the Broncos.  Sucks that he was so damn young.
  • Well the Cowboys lived up to the guaranteed win.  Good for them.

Watching Josh Allen and Brady play is pretty amazing.  Allen is so damn fast.

Rodgers still owns the Breas apparently, lol.

Go Broncos.  Fugazi win over the Lions but still a win.

Sports commentators have already suggested that.

I don't want it as it might be low scoring.  I want action in the games.
