Ah November is finally here, now we start to get some good football. The Steelers/Giants game was a good one, probably should have been the Sunday night game. Next Sunday night, Texans at the Bears, who ya got? I think I'd take the Texans but all of these defensive TDs for the Bears is just unbelievable.

How did a team who can't tackle make it to 7-0?

I just hope they keep it up. I'm no Cowboys fan, but I had a hunch Atlanta might blow it, so I bet on Dallas.

    Colts win! :D

The Colts got a 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty for blocking ...

Apparantly, running a wedge block on a return is illegal ....

Why do they even do kickoffs anymore?

3 man wedge is illegal. two is ok.

Anyone else watching the game last night notice that during the 3rd quarter they highlighted a guy - I believe he was a Wounded Warrior - and the guy was wearing a PJ shirt and in one shot was in front of a PJ poster? I didn't have the volume on so I'm not sure what it was about, but thought it was pretty cool :D

For those about to drink, we salute you!

Bears fans drink Nashville bars dry

When the Chicago Bears routed the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, they were cheered on by scores of Bears fans at LP Field in Nashville. Orange and navy jerseys filled the stadium, and chants of "Let's Go Bears!" broke out several times throughout the Bears' 51-20 win.
Nashville wasn't quite prepared for the many Bears fans who descended on its town, as bars ran out of the beer. NBC Chicago reports that the Paradise Trailer Park Resort, just across the river from the Titans stadium, was out of bottled beer by Sunday evening. The Whiskey Bent Saloon had just two brands of beer left by the time the Chicago contingent left town.
The Chicago contingent made itself known in more than the bars. Jay Cutler, who went to Vanderbilt in Nashville and still has a home there, said it felt like a home game.
    ....

Although I don't respect the Bears, I am smitten with their fan's love of beer and sausages. Well done.

Just watched "The Marinovich Project", all I can say is wow. All I ever knew was the Robo QB stuff and that his dad had tried to create the perfect player and he ended up a bust. There's a lot more to it than that, such a complicated relationship too. I was expecting to tune in and laugh at some douche and his old man who had out of whack priorities. But it's really very sad, and even the dad ends up looking like a sympathetic figure.

No, it was made by ESPN though. Everything after the original 30 is considered a continuation of 30 for 30, but technically aren't part of the original series. It's streaming on Netflix, I highly recommend it.

Not surprising. Their perfect record was misleading. In 9 games, every team except for one have losing records. They have played some of the worst teams. And last week against Dallas they looked pretty sloppy. I'm not saying they're a bad team, but there was a reason why they weren't getting a lot of media attention for their perfect record, they weren't playing anybody.

I was more surprised with how awful the Giants looked today, they usually only play like crap for half the game before making some ridiculous comeback. Eli and the offense have looked horrible for 3 weeks in a row now.

Looking forward to Bears/Texans tonight, hopefully it's a good game.

Last year the Giants looked bad all year, until right around the end of the season. It's my understanding they had a lot of injuries, and guys were coming back late.

Yeah, the Bears/Texans game should be a good one. I think Chicago will take it though. But it would be nice if Houston could pull it out.

    a tie????????

I don't know if I've ever seen a tie. I know they happen, but this was the first time I've actually been watching and saw it. I think they said the last tie was in 2008.

The last one I remember was when Donovan McNabb didn't even know that games could end in a tie. I think that was against the Bengals.

To be honest I didn't know that a game could still end in a tie. I thought they had changed that for some reason the past few times they've tinkered with OT rules.

As a Rams fan - yep, Rams fan. I have an empty feeling. Felt so good at the end of 1, felt ok at the end of the half. Extreme high with 1:00+ in the 4th. Happy it went to OT, Niners were moving down the field easy. OT had my emotions all over.

Now nothing. Happy they didn't lose, but... didn't win.
