I think the Chefs had more to do with their demise than bumbling referees did, but they did botch a couple calls that were significant: the Mariota sack and non fumble was terrible given the explanation 'forward progress had been lost' (Mariota was frozen in the pocket like a deer in the headlights... man did he get drilled).

what no one mentions is that the first chief to pick up mariotta’s non-fumble was then tackled and down. another guy then took that dead ball to the end zone.
I can see the ground work being laid.

This thread is hilarious for its twists and turns and mental gymnastics of some posters to justify the existence of their shitty teams. While most will stew and stammer, I’ll enjoy watching the Pats reach the super bowl and Tom and Bill get their 6th ring together. Then I’ll enjoy watching Trump get impeached and if that makes Tom cry, so be it. Politics, like religion, is a personal matter. Tom on a ballot? I’d vote against him if he held trump like views. Tom on the football field? He’s god.

    Oh, and happy new year.

That Jags vs Bills game was like watching two NCAA six win teams playing in a early December Kohlers sposered Porcelain bowl game.  Was actually hoping Tim Tebow would do a Stone Cold Steve Austin entrance into the game mid fourth quarter.

And KC blowing it in the most KC way possible was absolutely classic.

Might as as well ban all AFC teams except the pats and steelers from playing in the postseason.

I'm still not even sure how we got a Bills vs Jags postseason game televised. God bless the Bills mafia. More pregame tables and ER emergencys were scored than points in the game

But they carry on the legand of Zubaz so I am entirely respectful of the Bills fan base.

it was a "hard fought" game... but not an exciting one.  neither coach trusted his qb.

The Bills lost the game on Tyrod's check at the line on 1st and goal from the 1 into some weird fade pass that resulted in Offensive PI.

Yea, I actually thought they rushed tyrod into the starting job. But, that's who they went with. So I supported him. But it is clear, after 2 seasons, he just is not ready to be a big time qb. His ceiling is just too low.

Tyrod will be a starter next year and do good enough on the right team.  Very likely going to be Denver, Arizona, or Jacksonville.

I admit, his mobility is a nice feature.  He also doesnt turn it over much....  but man as a trade-off he is so averse to risk, it undermines the offense, and once he gets down by a touchdown +, forget about coming back.

Eagles beat, what, 3 teams above .500 this year?  I look (and hope) for the Falcons to expose them.

Not my picks, but what I want to see.. Falcons-Vikings, Patriots-Jaguars.

Steelers-Titans.  Steelers-Patriots would be a better game but I can't stand the Patriots and would love to see them lose in the divisional round.

This is a curious post. I think they both beat 4 teams over .500?

And if the Falcons do beat the Eagles, who are without their mvp caliber quarterback, does that really count as exposing them? No, I think it means they caught an extremely lucky break....

Did you not get the memo that the Eagles are the only team to beat shitty teams in a league that's 75% shitty teams.

Eagles w/Wentz beat everyone in the NFC except maybe New Orleans.  I think they would beat the other teams handily, as well.
Wentz was Magic Man before getting hurt.

Falcons do not have a good history in Philly, but obviously Wentz/Peters Injuries plus not too cold weather isn't gonna hurt. I see a stalemate game, TO's and field position will be the deciding factor. I think both teams have chip on the shoulder attitude, should be fun.

They don’t cover. Win by 10. Close game. Titans can win with 6 sacks with 4 of them on 3rd or 4th down and 2 in the 4th quarter. Otherwise, Pats win and advance to host the aluminum foils.

I was thinking the same thing (win by 10). There's something about the matchup I don't like. Hopefully they'll find a way to contain Henry. Can't let the Titans control the clock. They better have their shit together. I wanted to see a Titans/Steelers matchup cause I think the Titans would have won that game.
