To counter the Jerry Rice quote above....and I am a monster Jerry Rice fan, in my office where I sit right now I have a personalized football from JR, personalized picture, signed pic with him and Montana and a signed Jersey.

I believe if it were any team who won a Conference Championship it would be a big deal. It is magnified by the Pats' history as well pushing the rules to the edge to win just a week before.

That is true, that's why to me this really sucks because cast a continued negativity on the Patriots. Thus this all makes me think there's NO WAY this Patriots team can or will win this Super Bowl.

    Peace

Peter King reported D'Qwell Jackson (spelling is off I'm sure and it could have been another player, cant remember exactly who it was) took the ball he picked off over to his sideline and asked it to be inspected by his own team as it felt really off to him. The Colts are the ones who complained about it and asked it to be investigated.

I heard this morning that it goes back to their regular season meeting and a Mike Adams interception of a Brady pass.

Hate the Pats, but it's pretty hard to believe that it could've been a close game with fully inflated balls. The Colts d needed to inflate their balls a little and man up against the run game.

Can't wait for the hammer to come down.

I betcha the odds are changing much more towards the SeaChics and their dominance in this upcoming game.

This "problem" can be resolved in one step. Don't let teams be responsible for game balls. The nfl can provide the balls for every game. The teams wouldn't have access to them until game time. Simple.

That's apparently how it used to be. Peyton manning is largely responsible for the current system according to Aaron Wroggers:

    and Brady didn't know. ok

Actually I'd think that Brady is more likely the one responsible for this and not Belichick.

no. those balls were only used by the Pats.

"every team" does it.... yet why does this crap constantly get pinned on the Pats? Why did the Colts player think it was a big deal after touching the ball 1 time? Why does it always seem like Brady knows precisely what the defense is doing in real-time? Why do NFL legends like Don Shula and Jerry Rice feel the need to publicly call them cheaters?

I read that the Colts players didn't actually say anything. The whole thing was derived from a reporter.

I read that D'Qwell Jackson is responsible, saying something after intercepting Brady.

Of course he is....I believe he likes the balls under inflated as long as it's within the NFL guidelines.

Aaron Rodgers like to play with balls that are a little softer LOL. They could turn this story into a porn to go with a Gronking to remember.

He wanted them scuffed, like a baseball pitcher rubs baseballs before use. Both teams also used the 100 footballs so they wouldnt have an advantage. They would also have to pass specification inspection before the game. Im sure if Gannon were asked he would support this move by Johnson.

The Patriots apparently went covertly behind the scenes after inspection and took balls out of specification... only to be used by their offense.

I find this deflate-gate to be very amusing. Thank you, Patriots, for cheering me up!

Just fine as long as the balls are deflated along with the NFL guidelines. ;)
