The NFL wants all the information and requires full honesty so it can have control of every situation.
Players are generally wild cards as they are technically just a contracted union. But with the 32 owners, the NFL B.O.G. expects them to always put the NFL-first. Instead, Kraft went on a crusade, cried a lot, stopped in an effort to get his way, then when he still didn't get his way, continued crying.

I'm not a Goodell fan but its plain to see what happened with this and how the Patriots handled it poorly (and that they had an obvious procedure to deflate footballs whether or not you think its a serious violation).

What proof do you have that there was a procedure to deflate footballs?

Let's say there was proof of it, which there isn't, it is a minor infraction. Have you seen what past football violations were penalized? No more than $40,000 fine. That's it. No suspensions and no loss of draft picks.

they have video of a guy bringing them into what was an empty room. The text messages between those 2 bozos made it obvious. The destruction of the cell phone. Its a 2 year old with chocolate all over his face trying to deny he got into the cookie jar.

I just explained why it became more than a minor infraction. It was self inflicted. If the Pats were forthcoming with the NFL, there would have never been a "Deflator", destroyed cell phone, surveillance video, etc. Just a half/apology from Brady, a smile and wink, a slap on the wrist, and maybe a small rules change for 2015.

So you have text messages between 2 guys. Ok, why is Brady serving a 4 games suspension? This sounds more like a witch hunt than a true investigation. Remember, im a bills fan. I do not like the patriots. Just because I don't like them doesn't mean I think Brady should be penalized without sufficient evidence. Which the nfl does not have.

At this point Mayday, I will agree to disagree with you on this issue. I believe we are both Bills fans and will be rooting right next to you when the season starts. We seem to be going in circles about the deflate/spy gate.

    Let's Go Buffalo!

Pats go 12-4 and win their division and the AFC championship. Who or what will you blame then? The NFL has to spread the wealth. Dynasties are frowned upon. The other 31 owners are cry babies, some more so than others, Pollan you drunk fuck, I'm looking at you.

Have you heard about the computer chip in the football being tested? Yea, sure, its all about the integrety of the game.

So a football that is under-inflated ruins the integrity of the game more than allowing someone to play who beats their girlfriend or wife?? Ooooookay then...

a franchise repeatedly cheating ruins the integrity of the game more than off field behavior of individuals.
Letting people who should be charged with crimes and thrown in jail represent your brand, and honoring them for their on-field achivements is less detrimental to the game's integrity than football PSI. Ooooookay then...
yes on field cheating DURING THE GAME is more detrimental to the integrity of the game than some dude getting a DUI. Johnny Manziel being a fucking idiot doesn't hurt he integrity of the GAME itself. It just means Johnny Manziel is an ass.

Pete Rose is banned for life for fucking with the integrity of the game. Others convicted of crimes are not. got it yet?
Nope. Letting criminals, abusive behavior, etc represent your brand is pretty damned detrimental. How you guys fail to see that is beyond me.
I'm not saying cheating doesn't ruin the integrity of the game. But I really don't understand how anyone can argue a 4 game suspension for football PSI is on the same level or worse than only getting 4 games for beating your wife/girlfriend or having a gun & drugs in your car during a routine traffic stop or drunk driving, etc. Both on field and off field antics ruin the integrity of the game. Look up the definition of integrity. The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles. The NFL has no morals when it comes to allowing criminals to not only play but be honored. A fucking football that is slightly underpumped doesn't ruin shit.
You're arguing integrity of the game vs. integrity of the league. We know the league has no integrity, but if the results of the games come into question then that undermines the publication interest in the league.

Gordon is a beast. When he is actually on the field, he is a game changer. I'm kind of hoping the brown are sick of him so the bills can sign him

I'm surprised the Broncos didn't go after Fitzpatrick. They have the cap space.

Has Elway's ego gotten so big that he thinks they can make the playoffs with Sanchez at the helm???

Ryan Fitzpatrick at $12 Million for 1 year or Mark Sanchez at $4.5 Million for 1 year? i can't believe Ryan Fitzpatrick is a $12 million dollar player.

That's the going rate for a mediocre QB these days. Crazy. Look at the money Houston gave Osweiler...

It's amazing there are so few people that are competent in that position. I thought he would be perfect for the Bronco. All he has to do is be competent in managing the offense and let the defense do their thing.

Good chance they would make it back to the Super Bowl, so I think that is worth $12M gamble. They paid Peyton Manning's corpse $25M last year to do it.

I can't see a Mark Sanchez team getting there.

the funniest part was Simmons argument about how the NFL is doing it so people will talk about it to deflect from other issues. Funny because he has now talked about it in 2 of what 5 of his episodes of his show? um ok Bill. yea it's the NFL that keeps this fucking story going.

Simmons is a smart guy. His original website was fantastic, his basketball book was a great read and have to give him props for coming up with the 30 for 30 idea but man he is bad on TV. He has no charisma or skills to be a tv personality.

A reminder to Dolphin's fans that your team passed on Drew Brees in 2006 and instead chose Daunte Culpepper.

so question, since Chip Kelly plays music at his practices, if he played the National Anthem would Colin Kaepernick sit down on the field and refuse to participate until after the song was over?

I love to watch the cowboys do stupid things.

Let's sit all of the starters for the last preseason game. Even though your new starting qb has played exactly zero snaps in the NFL. I cant wait to see the Giants eat them up.
