But you have a stud runnng back that you were able to trade up for

Agreed, but You could put Jim Brown, Walter Payton, or whoever else you want back there and if the defense has 8-9 guys in the box because your WRs can be covered by the lollipop guild, then your running game will still suck. I was ecstatic when they manned up, moved up, and took the guy we needed, but alomst every move after that had me scratching my head. I felt like the opening scene of "Major League" for most of the draft..."who are these fucking guys?" Not to mention, our "new" QB is about a month away from getting his AARP card. I LOVE Richardson, fully believe he is the real deal, and will be purchasing his jersey very soon, but he will likely take a beating for the duration of his rookie deal and then (if he's smart) he will get his ass out of town as soon as he can because Cleveland will still suck and they will refuse to pay him once his original deal expires. We're Cleveland...this is what we do. :fp:

but you traded up ONE spot.

but in other 28 year old rookie QB's, you had Kurt Warner. assuming this guy can start this year or next, you can get 8-10 seasons out of him

The NFL has suspended New Orleans Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma for the entire 2012 season for his role in the team's bounty scandal, according to multiple reports.

Former Saints defensive end Anthony Hargrove, now with the Seattle Seahawks, drew an eight-game suspension. Saints defensive end Wil Smith was suspended for four games and former Saints linebacker Scott Fujita, now with the Cleveland Browns, got a three-game ban.

he's a man with a code. a stupid, moronic, illogical code, but a code nonetheless. also these suspensions for nfl players are so stupid, it's just another part of the massive coverup job the commish has to do with regard to how dangerous this sport is. this league might not exist in a few years with all these concussion lawsuits coming, and he's doing his best to prevent that.

the players are right with some of their complaints. how do you appeal to the guy who suspended you? how do you rat out a coach and not expect that carry on with you?

    junior seau dead?!!?
NFL legend Junior Seau was found dead in his home in Oceanside, CA ... and cops are investigating a shooting ... multiple law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

Cops are currently at Seau's home just outside San Diego. Seau was 43-years-old ... and leaves behind 3 kids and an ex-wife.

Seau was a beast in the NFL -- skyrocketing to fame thanks to his explosive play with the San Diego Chargers, Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots. The USC standout was selected in the first round of the NFL draft in 1990 and played in the league for 20 years.

Seau was involved in a car accident back in 2010 when he drove his SUV off a cliff in Carlsbad, CA hours after he was arrested for allegedly attacking his girlfriend. Seau later said he was not trying to kill himself ... insisting he had fallen asleep at the wheel.

Isn't the appeals thing part of the agreement they just signed with the owners? IMO if they've been ok with it up til now, then they can't complain when the hammer comes down. They'd better be trying like hell to get that changed in a few years when they can negotiate again.

I can't believe they're suspending a guy for a full season. I'd like to think they have some pretty heinous stuff on these guys to be being so heavy handed.

football, as we know it, will likely not last the century. it's crazy but maybe baseball has the best chances of moving forward...
