  • takes some HUGE stones to call a fake put right there. wow--this rams/squawks game is nuts

Gutsy call for sure. Not reviewing that fumble was puzzling.
  • god bless nfl redzone!

Oh man, that was great with the 3 games coming to an end at the same time there....I love when Scott Hansen gets all fired up in those situations..

Other than luck, these young qbs are horrible. Bortles, horrible but won. Cousins, horrible and benched. Whitehurst, horrible and lost. The future hopefully doesn't ride on these guys.

yeah, but why are you lumping backups like charlie whitehurst and cousins in with luck? russel wilson and kaepernick are generally the young qb's people consider the future.

i think bortles has a chance to be good. can't judge him after 2 or 3 games.

yup. it's also funny when a commercial tries to sneak it's way onto nfl redzone. scott hansen will not have any of that.

i don't think i've seen the quadruple box yet this season.

I hear ya. I'd give Wilson the nod. I'm still not sold on kapernick. I know he wins, but there are too many mistakes in his game.

Oh yeah, no commercials on Scott Hansen's watch...that guy is the best. The new set that they have for him this year is pretty rough....it looks like he's from the future.
  • Damn that game last night was brutal to watch as a Niners fan. Team was outmatched with half of the projected starting Defense out. Totally outmatched. The offense would have needed to score almost every drive and that clearly is not an option!
Happy to Peyton though, not the biggest fan over the years but the guy is absolutely incredible and an example of what can be right in a league chock full of beaters/rapers/thieving fuckers.

guess west coast people are used to it. i didn't realize this game was this week. quite a surprise.

in other news--i'm late on this but congrats to peyton manning, even though all of these new nfl offensive records are complete and utter bullshit. it is literally impossible to compare players of different generations in this sports nowadays.

  • Congrats Geno Smith. I don't think I have ever seen a QB throw 3 picks in less than five minutes. Go find your place on the bench.

doesn't seem right that a penalty can benefit the penalized team

I somewhat agree. The rules have definitely been geared in the offenses favor. But, that has only been in play for about 6 years. think Peyton can easily be considered the qb ever. I know he's only got one ring, but he revolutionized the position and how offenses are ran.

I like to ask myself if I had one person in crunch time, who would it be? It makes it easier fir me to compare players from different eras.

My top 5 (in no particular order) include Montana, Manning, Brady, Favre, Johnny Unitas.

I don't include Bradshaw because he wasn't a great qb IMO. He was an excellent game manager and didn't turn the ball over a lot. I've always felt that if he didn't have that defense, he wouldn't have won 4 rings.

dan marino? john elway? i'd have them over manning, favre and unitas i think. those guys put up all those crazy numbers back when the offense didn't have an unfair advantage.

Sure, elway and Marino were great. They're just not in my top 5. If I did a top 6, elway would be there. I hate Dan Marino.
