well this is a step in the right direction. something that should have been done years ago:

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/03/22/nfl-may-install-cameras-on-sidelines-goal-lines-to-aid-replay-reviews/

now just get an official replay reviewer in the booth or call it into the league office like the nhl does and we might be in business.

Panthers free agency has been interesting...let all 4 WRs walk including Steve Smith and have so far only sign Cotchery to replace them. GMs doing what he can to build and maintain with a hamstrung cap, but it's scary.
Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where?

well this is a good move. the official will "confer" with a replay reviewer in new york. well done.

the behind the scenes footage of the competition committee was pretty interesting. i think most people just think roger goodell makes all the decisions himself. belichek was pretty funny complaining about the current replay system.

No Fun League. Soon they'll be penalizing Victor Cruz for doing the salsa dance after he scores a touchdown.

I think I read that it's because Jimmy Graham fucked up the crossbar a couple of times last year and they had to delay the game to fix it. But yeah, No Fun League for sure.

• I agree on the No Fun League thing but if the guy's clowning around after the score causes a delay in the game then he should be flagged. No reason he has to dunk the ball -- he can be more creative than that....especially if he is going to get fined for it!

It appears that the #7 on the jersey isn't the only thing in common that Kaepernick shares with Ben Roethlisberger ....

The good new for Kaepernick is that this alleged act happened in Florida where you can murder your baby and shoot teenagers in the street and walk free, so he has that going for him.

• NFL schedule was released today. F me I really wanna go to Denver week 1 and see them against the Colts. Season starts with the Packers at the Seahawks on TNF. Brilliant game to open things up. We'll see a Super Bowl rematch in week 3 with the Broncos at the Seahawks. So exciting, even though it's still a little over 4 months away.

Just a little over 4 months away until football season!

My buddies and I will be heading to Charlotte for Bears-Panthers for our annual Bears trip. Probably going to go to Charleston, SC for a couple days before going to Charlotte.

You're right, MNF looks like an improvement over last year. SNF almost always has my favourite game of the week. Only problem is it's on NBC and the announcers are Al Michaels and Chris Collinsworth, lol. FOOTBALL!!!

Jaguars Surprised By String Of Prospects Openly Discussing Prior Drug Use, Criminal Activity During Interviews

JACKSONVILLE, FL—Claiming that the players completely squandered the opportunity to be selected third overall in this year’s NFL Draft, bewildered officials from the Jacksonville Jaguars front office confirmed Friday that a large number of top prospects readily offered to discuss their prior drug use and criminal activity during interviews with the team. “It really only took one or two minutes before most players started openly talking about their troubled pasts and how they would never change,” said Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley, adding that almost every player freely admitted to associating with known gang members, frequently visiting prostitutes, and carrying unlicensed firearms at all times. “One guy told me that even though it’s not publicly known, he was arrested the night before, and another came right out and told me he was currently high. Plus, one of the corners we had at the top of our board immediately told us he’s planning on stabbing someone at a nightclub next week. This was a particularly forthright class.” Jaguars personnel told reporters this was the most eye-opening round of interviews since 2012, when Andrew Luck assured Jacksonville scouts that he would soon be indicted on rape charges.

Sorry D, the only person I know w/Jets tickets (and they are good ones) is a fanatic about it and never misses a game. Will ask but not hopeful.

As much as I hate to say this, you want to sit in the 'high rent' district if you bring your boys. NFL crowds are animals and you have nice kids. :) Worth paying the extra and maybe just getting 2 seats and taking the younger boy next time. [If you wear Broncos gear you are pretty much guaranteed to get cussed out repeatedly.]
Great stadium for a game though - good luck!

LOL...well, he will be wearing a Decker jersey and he's now a Jet so maybe we will survive. Nothing beats when I was 14 here in Philly decked out in Orange and Blue and had cheese fries dumped on my head

I don't understand how / why certain fan bases behave that way. It's not a good sign on where society is heading. And it seems like a few fan bases wear the lack of decency like a badge of honor ... (cough ... Ohio State .. cough)

Sucker punching fans who wear a different jersey. Intentionally puking on someone. I don't see how parents can even take their kids to games these days.

Yeah my nephew is dying to go to an Eagles game...and he would have Eagles gear on. He is 9 and while he has been to MLB, NBA and NHL action I am not taking him to an NFL game anytime soon....he is not mature enough to have to deal with that stuff. Maybe 13 or so, depends on him and how he can process what he sees/hears.
Also, I think our society is 'already there' as opposed to 'heading...' -- I would like to laugh it off and say it is Philly crowds but I have been to sporting events coast to coast and most places see some pretty wild stuff going on.

There are still spots in the Midwest where some decency still exists. I was at a Packer game (rooting for the Colts) and the Packer fans sitting next to me bought me and my friends a round of beers after Woodsen did a pick-six on Manning that sealed the game.

I used to have season tickets to the Colts. Unfortunatly the eight seats next to me were owned by someone who just sold them on Stub Hub so I always had opposing fans sitting next to me.

The worst visting fans ....

1) Patriots fans
2) Jets fans
3) Ravens fans

The best visiting fans

1) Chiefs fans
2) Titan fans (subliminal patriotic allegiance to Manning may have been a factor)
3) 49ers fans ...... just kidding. Those guys are a bunch of fuck sticks. :D
