Buffalo has KC this season (in the playoffs, they always beat them in the regular season).

The problem is, Baltimore with Derrick Henry may be the Bills' kryptonite and that seems destined for round 2.

I think denver could be a tough matchup too.

Baltimore Vs Eagles is my NFL Championship prediction.  All birdz

I gotta do my part in helping the effort toward the Three Peat.

I wish I was a sacrifice, but somehow still lived on.

Horrible playoff system. Three road teams traveling to play at the home of teams that have an inferior record. The NFL should be better than this. One area where NFL smells like CFB. Home field advantage should be decided on the field, with the better team record gets the home field advantage.
. If division champs are so important, skip the Super Bowl and award the trophies now.
I don’t know. The only mismatch seems to be Vikings going to LA. And it’s sort of a fluke for two teams in the same division to have records as good as Lions and Vikings. It doesn’t seem as egregious as the CFP first round.

Happens almost every season that teams with the better record plays on the road.  And then has to deal with the NFLs weak link, fan interference with the QB play calling. That advantage should be with the team that won more games, and in most cases had a tougher schedule.

its wonderful so many fans don’t have an issue with it, but that doesn’t prevent the fact that it’s a horrible system and it’s the exact opposite of what a league is supposed to be doing, letting the on field results dictate the championship process. Not some political process as to how to split up the league into divisions

Well the Vikings had 2 shots at the Lions and lost both. Darnold didn't make the throws. Those are the rules so they gotta play on the road. It's not like they'll be at a crowd disadvantage playing in LA, though - let's be real.

the decline of newspapers is just another example of the decline of society….these days, instead of objective NEWS, you can just cater your digital feed to whatever you want to hear. that said, what’s left of our paper sucks…we get a print version on wednesday and the “sunday paper” comes on saturday. there’s not much “news” anymore…it has morphed into feature stories that they beat to death. how many times do I need to read about the shrinking great salt lake? they cover local sports a little but I don’t really care about the NHL or MLS teams and the jazz suck. the rest of the sports section is imported from other sources.

so, yeah, I used to love newspapers and am sad to see their demise. I much prefer reading newsprint over scrolling on a phone. that said, when our local paper went to only two days a week and the rest a shitty digital version with shitty “feature” content, I was all for (sadly) canceling it. My wife now pays for it.

Agreed, wob. The Sunday edition is a shell of it's former self.

100%.   the Philadelphia Daily News used to have an awesome sports section and the Philadelphia Inquirer had great news.   I read those religiously for about 35 years and finally pulled the plug like 3 years ago.  Even the Sunday Inquirer sucks now.

It’s the process that is wrong (the better record should play at home), not the specific example (LA fans indifferent). Let division champs be second tiebreaker for home field, Higher wins should be first. Seriously, this is like pee wee level stuff by the wealthiest sport in the world

The NFL is so popular they don’t even need divisions.

I'm assuming once they expand to 34 teams there will be 18 games and 16 teams in the playoffs.

I dunno, regardless I think this is the best playoff format in sports. There's actually a decent reward for being the best team in your conference. No way should the #2 seed get basically the same reward.

I don't agree that there is an issue with a devision winner hosting a WC team with a better record.
You play your division 2x.  Some years that works for you, some against.

    Stoked for playoffs to start.
Less stoked my favorite team blew this year.
Oh well, still fun to take in.

Newsweek has gone to shit, but I don't know about Time. I think The Atlantic and The Economist's content is still pretty solid. Newspaper in general blow. I was really enjoying WaPo, but Bezos seems to be on a mission to sink it.

I almost exclusively listen to vinyl and also have a manual. I have had at least one manual case at all times since 1992.   No newspaper though. The Richmond Times wasn’t good when newspapers were relevant, let alone now. But they did always make a very impressive pile.

The Economist is a tremendous cure for insomnia. It’s so dense for no apparent reason.
