Good for you speedy , you live the life
30 years driving a truck for a living, 50-60 hours a week. 2 heart episodes, one involving triple bypass. Being left with an arm that basically only functions at 50%.

My wife and I are allowed to go spend our days at the pool, and our nights having good wholesome fun.

    My years are limited.
Im going to enjoy what time I have left.

    What's gonna be fun?
Searching for a place where I can do some pier fishing. I need to find a freshwater lake where I can fish off a pier, without getting eaten alive by mosquitoes or alligators. I'll find a charter boat every once in a while, but that gets expensive.

$1500 for the yearly Disney Pass.
A fucking bargain in my eyes.

Any restrictions/blackout dates with that? if not it's a sure-fire bargain as you can spend close to 2 bills for admission on some days. Either way a bargain when you'll be living close, can pop in any time for a meal and/or a little fun just pay the parking.
    This weekend we rock Portland

Just looked it up and answered my questions. Assuming it's the "Incredi-pass", it is indeed a bargain. No blackout dates, includes parking. Sweet deal for someone who'll use it as you will. Enjoy.

Yeah, my bride informed me that we are getting the most expensive pass. Haha
No blackouts, no restrictions, parking included. Im guessing we will be somewhere on Disney property 4 times a month?

    A bargain at $1500

We did a "test run" 2 weeks ago. She purchased her yearly pass. We drove to The Kingdom, parked, took the tram to the Ferry Boat, the boat to the gate. It was great! From the time we left our new apartment, basically, we were in the park in an hour.

    Epcot was about 40 minutes.

Turned 2 at the beginning of June. He'll be too young to remember it, but that 2 to 3 year old range is the perfect time for Disney magic imo. I think he is going to absolutely LOVE Animal Kingdom!

Have you ever stayed at Coronado Springs? That's where we booked. My wife had about 4 or 5 on the list and chose this one. Honestly, I didn't really care where we stayed. I figure any of their resorts will be clean and we just need a place to rest our heads for a night.

One of the few I haven't stayed at. I have a good friend, from this board, who was there last year. She loved it.
Its Disney property, your family will LOVE IT!!

Yeah, that's what I'm banking on. Between the ones I've already stayed at and recommendations from friends, I just don't see how you can go wrong with any of their places.

How many days will you be there? Hitting all the parks? What's the gameplan?

Full week...check in on Sunday, check out the following Saturday. Got the 5 day park hopper ticket for Mon-Fri. That will let us go and play hard in the morning, then get our quick service lunch and a nap back at the room. After nap, we'll play it by ear and see if we want to go back or wait until our dinner reservations. Planning on going to all the parks and got the 5th day for things we may have missed earlier in the week. Like I said above, I'm anticipating wanting at least part of that last day to be at Animal Kingdom. Other than dinner reservations, we're not going to have a set schedule. We might pick which park we go to on a particular day, but we'll let him pick and choose the majority of what we do in the parks. My only request is that I want a family photo of us all wearing the mouse ears!

Very nice. You are definitely a Disney Professional. Haha

    Lunch
    Pool
    Nap

That been our Disney itinerary for over 20 years.

Still an amateur lol...it's been 12 years since we last went. Not sure how much pool time we'll have. Might be too cold in January and he hates playing in water. Splash pads? Pools? Water day at daycare? No, no, and a big hell no! Lol

Should be a decent time to go crowd wise. All the school vacations and majority of college intercessions will be over.

That was a big part of deciding when we should go. Also, weather should be perfect for us. While researching potential vacations, my wife found a few toddler mom sites and they all recommended Disney at this time of year for toddlers.
