You see dude, I know it wasn't a joke, because at one time or another you have espoused a viewpoint that supports those statements. If someone had agreed with it or complimented you on the post, you would have rolled with it.

Or maybe you're trolling me right now? If you are I don't think you're doing it right.

Don't be silly. Nobody wants to outlaw all guns.
But Republicans to want to outlaw sex that doesn't get their motor running.

If a Republican is a vegetarian, he doesn't eat meat.
If a Democrat is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.

Don't be silly. I'm a vegan and I'm married to a man who loves his sea food, beef, pork and chicken. And cheese. Oddly enough, Republicans seem to be more likely to want vegetarians banned.

If a Republican is homosexual, he quietly leads his life.
If a Democrat is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.

Don't be silly. If a Republican is gay, he needs to quietly live his life. His own party wants to throw him in jail for having sex in his own home, make it legal to fire him and evict him and make his relationships invalid for any protections. If a Democrat is gay, that gay Republican has the Democrat to thank for pretty much every single right he's got. That said, I don't want your "respect." You can shove your respect. I want equality. And if it takes legislation... oh well.

If a Republican is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.
A Democrat wonders who is going to take care of him.

Don't be silly. If a Republican is poor, he takes food stamps and welfare but then loudly blathers on about how "and nobody helped ME out." If a Decmocrat is poor, it's probably because he got fucked over by huge corporations, banks and his mortgage company.

If a Republican doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels.
Democrats demand that those they don't like be shut down.

Don't be silly. Republicans have gone on bizarre campaigns to discredit Rachel Maddow and Keith Olderman and Jon Stewart.

If a Republican is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church.
A Democrat non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced.

Don't be silly. The only mention of God and religion I want silenced is the kind that's shoved down my throat by politicians or the Mormons coming to my door.

If a Republican decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.
A Democrat demands that the rest of us pay for his.

Don't be silly. Democrats understand the concept of "insurance" and how it works. Everyone pays into their own program, you're all paying for everyone else in that program and the company usually brings in more than they pay out. That's how that works.

But more Republicans are shocked to find out they're not the only person in the world.

OK first, even if the President was against gay marriage... so? At what point did you start thinking that the president had the opinions we should all have?

The majority of Americans support marriage equality. AND when you limit it to people under the age of 65, the number is 70%. Sadly YOU will have to "accept" it. Because it's coming and there's not a God Damn Thing you can do about it.

And for the record... the president hasn't openly come out and said that he supports gay marriage but instead chooses the more politically safe term of "my position is evolving." If you look at his actions and not his words, it's very clear that he supports marriage equality and is making the small changes that will lead us there. This president isn't like the last one. He doesn't grandstand and make lots of obtuse speeches. He quietly makes the necessary changes and lets the problem solve itself.

    Finally. Again, you are wrong.

I've been with my husband for 20 years. We met when I was 23. He was 29. This year we'll celebrate our anniversary and his 50th birthday. We are married... and I don't care what you think about it.

My sister has been through three weddings but I say that SHE isn't' married. At my ceremony, I said "for life" and so did she. And she's not dead yet. In my personal opinion, you get one marriage. The rest are just legal contracts and that's just fine. But you get one.

So Newt Gingrich, John McCain, Rush Limbaugh, Mark Sanford... all not married. They had their chance and they blew it.

And you had your chance to change anyone's mind here and you blew THAT.

I am the OP and the whole point was NOT to change anyones mind on gay marriage! You totally looked past it! The point was that all 3 candidates and many more are the same on marriage. However , the media would make you believe that Santorum will kill anyone who is gay! That was the point....to expose the liberal media and their progressive agenda. So i didnt blow anything because I didnt have an agenda but to expose the truth of the liberal media which i did and I always will! God bless you and your civil union!

So... then... you just came here to throw a tantrum and shake your finger at people?

    Um. Ok.

    Mission Accomplished!
The point was that all 3 candidates and many more are the same on marriage.

I mean... if your partner has hepatitis and the santorum drips on your... oh wait... you mean RICK Santorum.

    Sorry.

Ok, well nobody has ever suggested that former-senator Santorum advocates execution for gay people but he DOES want us thrown in jail for having sex in the privacy of our own homes and wants it legal to fire us from our jobs, evict us from our houses and deny access to our children.
That was the point....to expose the liberal media and their progressive agenda.

Your God is an asshole and I'm married. And there's NOTHING that you can do about it. Ziltch, Zero.

I realize you're home alone with your cats pleasuring yourself thinking about telling me that I have a "civil union."

But I don't. I'm legally married. Ha Ha.

I'm not sure any president can have any stand on any issue without half the country jumping down his or her (hey, some day, right?) throat.

Besides, I don't think we should let the president make the decision about gay marriage. I think we should let gay people make the decision about gay marriage.
