nicely done dickface. i like vh. i find this both funny and terrible. ultimately, dave roth, you are a dick. your gigantic legal shit contract on how vh works sucks balls and makes you a scumbag.

I guess I'm lost. Not sure how this makes him a scumbag?

I totally agree where does this make him a scumbag. It's more about safety issue and MORE imporantly READ the fricking contract.

    Peace

And I agree that only DLR can get away with cheesy lyrics. That sort of goofiness mixed with the serious musicianship skills of the band is what has really been missing over the years. I like Sammy and all, but DLR's trippy, showman, carnival ringleader, pseudo-philosophical musings were an integral part of that band and it is nice to have him back.

Could not have said it better myself.

I am getting such a kick out of some of these songs - particularly the lyrics of She's The Woman And Stay Frosty. Sammy could never sing those lyrics...but DLR? Absolutely! Hilarious lyrics like those, Eddie's amazing shredding, and Alex's REALLY BIG drumming are what made Van Halen what they were in the late 70's-early 80's.

I got nuttin' against Sammy...but it is GREAT to have Diamond Dave back at the front of this band!

I can't wait for the Boston show. Really like the new album.
They are actually changing up the set list from show to show.
Love the deep cuts they pulling out like Woman In Love, Outta Love Again, Hear bout it Later, Girl Gone Bad and last night they played The Full Bug.
    Good stuff.

The Full Bug?! Awesome! Incredibly underrated track for those who don't know it - http://youtu.be/KmgljVdIDGw

I think this tour begins right down here in Sunrise Florida. I still have my 1984 World Tour pin in my truck but I'll skip this concert though.

  • Went to the Philly show last night and it was great. Eddie Van Halen was spectacular last night, he hit every note and was just smokin' all night. Alex was a beast and Roth while not in the best voice still puts on a good show. The newer stuff came across well and it was amazing to hear Hear About It Later and Women In Love live and spot on. Girl Gone Bad was just a tour de force of shredding guitar by Eddie to. If you are a fan at all you have to get to one of these shows, they are truly back.

  • After enjoying their new album for the last month I felt like taking a trip down memory lane.... These guys are fucking amazing minus "balance" and "halen 3"....... Both Roth and Hagar were great frontman .... My most recent guilty pleasure is ou812...... Too bad they wasted the last 16 years

A friend of mine gave me a ticket for last night's Reading, PA show. :D

Eddie is still really awesome on guitar.

Setlists have been pretty much the same on this tour, but they did change it up by playing Jamie's Cryin' without removing any other classics.

The following is my VH concert review from the final night of the tour in New Orleans on June 26th.

Musically, the band sounded to be at the top of their game. Eddie was off-the-charts great. Wolfie blended in quite well and Alex did his usual outstanding job. Dave, on the other hand, was awful. He only sang about half of the time; the other time was spent making strange noises and rambling on about training dogs in his spare time.
