Oh yeah it's fantastic. Two powerful songs into a 2 part chilling combo of Wings for Marie and 10,000 Days.

The flow is very good. It flows better than Aenima.

Flows better than Aenima??? I've always put that on par with something like Dark Side of the Moon as far as sequencing goes and I think Lateralus has a really great track order. It's something Tool at which excels, but I can't put 10k Days up with those other 2.

Mostly has to do with the "extra" tracks on there. Lipan Conjuring and Viginti Tres are garbage and I don't think Lost Keys or Intension really enhance the tracks they lead into. I just don't think they make the album better like the stuff on Aenima or Lateralus.

I can't listen to Rosetta Stoned without listening to Lost Keys first, it's just all one song with a long intro. I do agree about Intension though. I am very surprised they're playing Intention on this tour without playing Right In Two. That would be a big let down to sit through Intension and then not hear Right In Two.

I think Lateralus is far superior to 10,000 days and Aenima. Aenima is certainly better than 10,000 Days but I don't think it flows well. It's just a bunch of awesome songs to me.

I don't think Aenima flows that well either. There's a lot of great songs broken up by some useless filler. As far as 10,000 Days, I actually like Intension and think it stands out on it's own. Lipan Conjuring and Viginti Tres are throw aways. Lateralus definitely flows very well. I rarely listen to the last track, but because it's at the end, it doesn't disrupt the album at all.

I think Disposition, Reflection and Triad could've been worked somewhere into the album instead of tacking them on the end. I don't necessarily think those 3 tunes work that well back to back. Also, I think Lateralus was set up to be the perfect closer. I dig the album and all the tunes but putting those 3 tunes(which I think are stronger compositions than the Aenima "filler") where they are seems like a cop out when in my mind they put so much work into the sequencing with Aenima....What would 46&2 be without that calming piano coming in after that chaotic end, Jimmy without the psycho circus calliope intro? And who doesn't need a break between Aenema and 3rd Eye?

I dunno, maybe I've just grown accustomed to the way Aenima unfolds.

Very good. They went on at 9 and played 1:40. Visuals built in scope as the show went on with Lateralus being the high point, as usual. The band was tight, but it's clear Maynard's still not totally into it. In addition to his voice being not quite what it was, he was also sloppy with inflection (parts of Stinkfist and 46 & 2) and missed a pretty crucial chunk at the end of Pushit (the entire quatrain before "Remember I will always love you"). Somehow it hardly matters with the stage show being amongst their best and the rest of the guys as on-point as ever. Will be going to the Sun on Tuesday, too, and will be more than happy even if it's the same set again. (They'll occasionally substitute Sober and Parabola for Ticks and Leeches.)

Yeah...Floor E, Row 10. Pretty much right in front of the soundboard. If I've learned anything from Tool shows over the years, it's that I like to be centered when seeing them, if possible.

Video, screens, lights, lasers, etc. I've seen them a bunch and this was on par with their initial Lateralus and recent 10,000 Days productions. Really well done.
  • I've seen some youtube videos from this tour and it seems awesome the lighting and the way the band sounds. In some songs Maynard really doesn't sound like he used. :(
I'm going to the show on Wednesday, hope he sounds a better.

It's Tool. You probably won't get to see them too many more times.

Anema flows terribly, all that stuff is just wasted space. It adds nothing to the record. Try deleting it all in an itunes playlist and just listening to the actual 8 songs. Its like the best record in the history of man.
