Billetservice.no charged me 145 NOK for sending my tickets to Sweden... :?

I actually got mad about this too, payed 800Nok for a floor ticket, but im in, just Stockholm and Copenhagen tickets left to get....

I'm not sure why this happened to you guys...or what happened when I placed my order it all went so quickly I didn't even realise I had somehow opted for e-tickets that I have to printout myself. So there's no fee to send it to me. The whole thing cost me SEK630 (abt NOK540) - tax incl. - for one floor ticket.

And I thought for Oslo floor tix it was abt NOK620 each? even with tax that shdn't have come up to NOK800....that's a rip-off! I think it's a bit underhanded when they don't publish prices before the sale. On Livenation.no for the Manchester pre-sale tomorrow all prices for each category is currently displayed.
if I keep holding out,.... will the light shine through?

    Block 2 #'s 100,000-199,999

    Block 3 #'s 200,000-299,999

    Block 4 #'s 300,000-399,999

This assumes an equal distribution in those ranges, which is likely not the case. there are probably more people in the 300k+ range than the 1-99.999K range.
Thats true, but my numbers dont have to be the ones they use. They can tweak it to work. And if there are less people in block one, then there will be less tickets sold int hat block. Any remaining tickets that arent sold in a certain block can get allocated to the remaining block sales.

Well, my first membership was back in 2005 and I was number 357xxx, but after the expiration I only renewed last year, and I number 473xxx, so 116,000 more member in 6 years. But I really don't think there more than 400,000 active and eligeable members for this pre-sale.

I have no ticketing issues. PJ, you're the one with the issues. If you're going to be so bold as to presale tix for a band which has a fan base like few others , either fix the problem (servers, demand , whatever) or don't offer the bleeping tix in the first place. I HATE Ticketshyster/LiveNation monopoly and their inconvenience fees as much as the next guy, but I'm almost resigned to using same and Ticket Agencies to forego F5/Crowd(makes me wanna)Purge hell.

IMO, this would be the best way to handle the tickets sales. And I mentioned this after the PJ20 Alpine fiasco.

I said this before, they should sell tickets, even if its just for high demand shows, in several blocks going by fan club #. Everyone will still get an equal chance. This suggestion DOES NOT MEAN if you ave a low number you have an advantage.

Say, just for even numbers, there are 400,000 members. Well then have 4 different mini tickets sales for a high demand show. You can start off by selling 1,500 tickets or 750 pairs per block.

    Block 1 Fan Club #'s 1-99,999

    Block 2 #'s 100,000-199,999

    Block 3 #'s 200,000-299,999

    Block 4 #'s 300,000- etc

Each block gets, say 1,500 tickets (just saying for an equal number)
So 4 blocks of 1,500 = 6,000 fan club tickets and everyone still gets an equal shot at tickets. The way they give out the seats when you pick them up doesnt change. But this prevents EVERY SINGLE fan club member from hitting the site at the same time.

And whatever tickets dont sell in a certain blocks on sale, maybe those can then be divided and then added to the other remaing blocks. And if all the seats dont sell after the 4 small tickets sales, then you can do one final one where anybody can purchase tickets.

    LOAD BALANCING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My member number is 402xxx. Do you think old members who've seen them multiple times in US or UK should get tickets before me and other members in Finland? I haven't seen Pearl Jam a single time because I was too young to see them the only time they played a concert in my country. I really think tickets should be reserved to members from the countries nearby. For example members from Sweden, Finland and Estonia will be getting one ticket for the Stockholm concert before those from UK, US or Germany.

I'm rather new to 10C and I have to admit that this is really putting a bad taste in my mouth. I'm sorta questionning what my $50 is actually going to to be exact!? Is it for the same T-Shirt which is suppose to be new every year and isn't, or for a Holiday Single & Vinyl that are still MIA to some after a year of waiting, or to this "Deep Magazine" .... Do I also have to wait a year from a "Welcome Package" and get the same answer from 10C when I email them? Personaly I joined because I love the band, but with that being said, I do NOT want to be treated like a number! Although I get that this is a business etc... this business is built because of it's fans!! Maybe 10C should be reminded of that!!??

What makes me shake my head the most, is the fact that NO ONE from 10C or from Management has said a word about anything to anyone!! Communication is key, and a simple post saying anything at this point would be GREAT!!

I'm not bashing the 10C.... I haven't been around long enough to be able to say anything bad about them... and I'm sure they've done some pretty kickass things in the past!! But I strongly suggest that they start communicating with the members instead of leaving everyone guessing and making assumptions...

Sorry... just my 2cents as a "newbie".
The thing I like most about time is that it's not real. It's all in the head. Sure, it's a useful trick to use if you want to meet someone at a specific place in the universe and have tea or coffee- but that's all it is- a trick. There is no such thing as the past. It exists only in the memory. There is no such thing as the future. It exists only in our imagination. If our watches were truly accurate, the only thing they would ever say is "Now". That's what time it is. It's "Now". - Damien Echols

  • Bottom line is the Ten Club has to get a better in house system. A bigger and better server "world class" as they said themselves after the Alpine Valley and Canadian pre-sale debacle.

I didn't even try and get tix but I can just imagine the frustration experienced by the faithful yesterday. It is absolutely un-acceptable and avoiding the situation is making it worse.

As far as seniority goes, I believe that it should only come into play after you have purchased tickets. It never has given you front of the line privelages and I don't think it should start now, even though it would be better for me because I have a great number.

And lastly the geographical problem; should you have the chance to buy tickets to your local venue before anyone else? Maybe you should, but this has never been the case, and it can't start now. The last Toronto shows were full of people from all over the globe and people I know who live right downtown that wanted to go couldn't because it was sold out. So let's just accept that PJ are in demand worldwide and that the internet has made it possible to buy tickets anywhere anytime. Well that is of course if you are using a ticketing system that works! :D

This man sounds wise AND level headed! The first line says it all - YOU NEED TO GET THE RIGHT HARDWARE FOR THE LEVEL OF DEMAND THAT YOU HAVE. Your servers are not cutting it anymore and you need to upgrade and get the right IT team working for you to ensure that people who booked time off work to purchase tickets during a pre-sale, can do actually that. if I logged in and saw that things were sold out, then fine, they were sold out. But logging in, selecting tickets and then waiting hours at your computer to enter payment information or navigate to your cart is not cool.
He who forgets will be destined to remember.

Say, just for even numbers, there are 400,000 members. Well then have 4 different mini tickets sales for a high demand show. You can start off by selling 1,500 tickets or 750 pairs per block.

    Block 1 Fan Club #'s 1-99,999

    Block 2 #'s 100,000-199,999

    Block 3 #'s 200,000-299,999

    Block 4 #'s 300,000- etc

I don't think old members who've seen them multiple times should get tickets before anyone. It should all be equal. My idea has no intention of discriminating to older members with better numbers. And you don't even have to use this model for every show. But it could work, maybe with some tweaks, for the high demand shows like MSG, Boston etc..

And that said, I don't think the number of tickets was the issue yesterday. I think there was enough for everyone who wanted them. The problem yesterday was the load. The amount of traffic hitting Crowdsurge at one time. Especially since it was a new system, so there was even more unnecessary traffic from peopel trying to test it out, even though they weren't buying tickets. That is why they need to figure out a way to balance the load. Staggering of any kind seems to be the answer IMO.

Why is this forum running so slow.... was it a 10C server crash yesterday?

This is what I don't get, the forum should have been fine

PJ21 should be with a new fanclub with people running it that knows how to.

I'll volunteer. I'm very organised, meticulous and I don't like letting ppl down at all! Plus I'll make sure to kick those lousy flippers where it hurts and make sure people with spares share with 10Clubbers first ;)

    Vote for me! :D
if I keep holding out,.... will the light shine through?

I'm ranting now but (and I'll quote myself):

10C has integrated the CrowdSurge Ticketing API into their existing website (bought a piece of code and support from Crowdsurge).
That means they use the same servers as before.
Same servers with the same amount of traffic when sale goes live causes the same problems...

    Thats my theory...
Give a monkey a brain and he'll swear he's the center of the Universe...
