    what does this have to do with the assertion that obama caused all of this, per thread title??

    here is a proposition, why not start a new thread to try to discredit the movement and what it sees as the problems with america instead of just bashing protestors for being dumbasses?

    Is talking about the actions of OWS movement really that far off topic here? Just how dissected do you want each topic to be exactly?

    They overall OWS movement has been using Oakland as the poster child ever since that dude took a tear-gas canister to the noggin. The Oakland police have been used by OWS supporters as an overall example of how America's police force is becoming militarized and fascist and how our freedoms are dissolving.

    I've said it from day one ... it's Oakland being Oakland.

    well considering the topic of the thread is "ows represents anger barack hussein obama has caused", what this has devolved into is only bashing the few violent protestors and is not maintaining topic integrity.

    not that i the first person to ever try to ask that things stay on topic or repeatedly threaten to squelch discussion by urging folks to stay on topic....but to get back on topic, nobody has made a convincing case that obama alone has caused this. people that maintain that he is the only cause must have been asleep prior to january 2009...

    This really sums up my feelings about this thread as well. Blaming Obama solely for peoples dissatisfaction leading to OWS just doesn't hold water. Even some of my conservative friends agree that it goes back much further.
