Bullshit. People have been pissed since long before they ever heard of Obama.

True. But all the false hope made them tip.

The high price of impatience: Michelle jets off to Hawaii with the kids for 17 day vacation before the President can leave ... at a cost of $100,000 to the taxpayer
The move also puts the president at odds with one of his own executive orders that instructed agencies to avoid unnecessary flights

No respect for the law. This happened yesterday.

The New York Police Department said 68 people were arrested, and at least one person was accused of assaulting a police officer, who suffered cuts on one hand. Other charges included trespassing, disorderly conduct and reckless endangerment.

This is the best part....HOW CUTE!

"People were collecting all the barricades and making kind of a big heap of them in the middle of the park," said protester Melanie Butler, 30, of Brooklyn. "And we were standing on it with our Occupy Wall Street banner."

    Yeah....we lose!

There were 10 arrests overnight, including four felonies, as thousands of spectators staked out viewing places along the route

    Oakland felons....

This Occupy movement is a disgrace.

"Once again, a violent splinter group of the Occupy movement is engaging in violent actions against Oakland," she said, speaking as officers in riot gear were still lined up against demonstrators in downtown intersections.
City Council President Larry Reid said a group of protesters broke into City Hall, damaging exhibits and burning a U.S. flag.

"Officers were pelted with bottles, metal pipe, rocks, spray cans, improvised explosive devices and burning flares," the Oakland Police Department said in a statement. "Oakland Police Department deployed smoke and tear gas."

i guess it is just easier to beat the shit out of the protestors and provoke them into committing these crimes than to actually try to change the things that they are protesting against....

Why the hell are journalists being arrested at Occupy places? Such a disgrace for them to be arrested while doing their job.

there is no free press in america anymore.

welcome to the police state....actually the police forces are becoming more militarized by the day, so how far away are we from being a state controlled by the military?

It's not the occupy movement huh?
There were about 2000 people there and 400 arrests.

    Lmfao.

    They can't even control themselves.

Hahaha. Nice movement. Hows that working for ya. Besides, as I've said before, they are not the 99%...
No way in hell would the top ten to twenty percent associate themselves with the likes of those.

I would say its more like "we are the entitlement society and we are the bottom half but we will throw in another 49% for credibility"

    In Oakland...
Officers were "pelted" with bottles, metal pipes, rocks and burning flares, police said.

    What a shame
  • People need to stand together.

I can't believe it you really have a terrible attitude.

Sounds like you would sell your soul before you'd even stand up for what is right and just.

By the way, isnt that how Nazi Germany started?

People turning a blind eye. Laughing at those who they believed were "below" themselves.

    Just sayin.

Eat provocateur propaganda, its good for yah.

Im just waiting for you to report me. Once again here my friends we see is the neo mentality. Whine & report fellow citizens.
  • No big deal, just read an article from Occupy Oakland the whole city is now under threat of federal take over by a judge until all these injustices by its administration and its police department and tactics are investigated. So....

Besides not instituting changes in the police force they are also asking for in depth analysis on the way Occupy Protest are being handled.

How is that movement goin' for ya?

i thought the righties on here are all for free speech and free assembly?

it is all about "freedom" on some issues and all about small government, yet nobody is standing up and complaining about how the police are not only trampling people's rights on behalf of the state, but they are actually exacerbating the issue with the way they are acting.

is it ok when the message is racist and personal attacks based on outright lies directed at a particular politician and not ok when it is speaking out on things that actually matter, like corporate greed and income inequality?

and it is telling how the support of police brutality and how these cops are acting changes depending on your political persuasion.. the cops are pushing these people and if you push people enough they will push back..

the police are becoming more militarized and this OWS movement has pointed that out.

    is nobody concerned about that??

It's Oakland. There is a long history of negative actions on both sides of the looking glass that extend well beyond the creation of OWS. If this was happening everywhere, I would be more concerned.

I used to live near Oakland and I treated dusk just like I would if living near a vampire colony.

Go to 3:32. It is a world of Rs and Ds--and not of intelligence or critical thinking. Double standards trump all.

burning flags, trashing cities ($5mil estimated in Oakland alone) injuring police (3 in Oakland just this time)

revolutionary leftists trying to stop America's capitalism. Good luck with that. Not on my watch.

OWS probably would've been even bigger if McCain were President, and I think most of them never believed in Obama to begin with. I witnessed the scene at Zuccotti Park with my own eyes in early November... it was just a bunch of self-righteous anarchists who believe THEY are the only ones who can change the world and we should have hope in them.
