Can I comment on how f-in hot it was the day of the show? Once we got off the metro and hit the streets, the heat just hit me. Plus, we went for drinks at Nova, and their A/C broke. Much to my pleasure, the Verizon Center was cool. But damn, hot, hot.
and I think it's only gonna get worse this summer. I was a sweaty friggin mess (and that was on the way to work) the day just got nastier.

......... so, just remember, you're part of a great fanbase, and never get lawn seats at a lynyrd skynyrd concert.

lynyrd skynyrd.....that pretty much sums up the whole bit. ;) but yeah, i understand what you're saying.

and hell yeah, it was hot that day. sure didn't help the hours pass til the show. hours dragged that day. i was guessing it was 110 when wondering around the city...wasn't off by much, saw a blinky sign that said 106. and yes i was most pleased with MCI's kicking AC. don't know how cool it was for people on the floor though.

The floor was pretty cool, I lucked out cause I got the last row in the front section, so there wasn't anyone behind me.

I couldn't imagine how the show would of been if they played at Merriweather, Nissan as they did in the past. We would of seen some topless 10C fans.

Are you talking about the last row in the section right in front of the stage or the section behind there. Because, I was also in the last row in the front section, row Z, seats 12 and 13. It was cool because I was also on the aisle and aside from the very, very uptight security, it was nice. I saw my first PJ show in 1994, actually April 8, the day Kurt Cobain died at George Mason University. I'm amazed at how times have changed. I hate constantly being watched by security and feeling like you can't relax and enjoy the show. Our kids may never know what it was like to light up at a concert and experience live music the way it's supposed to be enjoyed, with a good buzz on. Oh, wait a minute, unless you have a lot of money and can afford to buy $6.00 glasses of beer.
You can spend your time alone, re-digesting past regrets, oh
Or you can come to terms and realize
You're the only one who cannot forgive yourself, oh
Makes much more sense, to live in the present tense

I was in section 3, row 6. But I do know what you mean about the security, about 1/2 through the show, I had about 12 of them behind me, causing a stir, I think someone was trying to get backstage or something. I just remember this enormous guy, looked like a biker, come from backstage, assuming he was with the band. But it sucks being so close to the aisle, cause you have no choice but to be part of the security team.

I was wearing an Arizona State hat, like I did at Camden for the 2 previous shows.

    Thanks. You know why.
