    Nevermind ....

YOU ARE THE IDIOT... Just remember age = wisdom

I was a punk rocker in the 80's I am confident I saw U2 way before you were born... I first saw them in Detroit after BOY came out...in the punk era they were cool.. they did rock it... but they were similar to the Clash... compared to PJ sorry in 2006.. no comparision...

SF 2000, 2001, 2003--- oh or you can come to terms and realize you're the only one who cannot forgive yourself

  • I don't listen to DMB but it seems like the PJ fans have a lot of hate for that band. Is there a story behind it?

There seems to be a lot of animosity brewing in the PJ crowd so I'll politely bow out. I just came here to share some pics and learn a little more about an amazing band.

not sure why people do not like DMB... they are a great band... I notice the same stuff on this site...

I don't get it either. PJ and DMB are 2 of my favorite bands still playing today. When I joined here I naively assumed most would like them too. Boy was I wrong. But the more I read about peoples opinions about other bands *cough* *cough* U2, I realize just because you like PJ doesn't mean you like music.;):)

You always have some wonderful photos....(yes, I've seen your work many times on U2.com). Nice of you to share them on the PJ side, as well!

  • Hello fellow Pearl Jam lovers (the is my first time posting!)

I was so psyched back in 2005 when Bono go up and performed with Pearl Jam in Toronto ("They're making me a believer again... in rock, rock, rock..." ---Bono) but was so sad that I never found a full-length video clip of it online that I made sure to keep enough tape for the Hawaii U2 show since I was sure they would play together! :)

So I filmed the duet with my Canon SD500 digital camera and then used bobs23's matrix mix of Bakerstuff & Chrisedge's recordings of the show (since my digital camera has a crappy mic).

you can check out the quality on google video (or if you don't want to download it):

I hope you all enjoy my 2 favorite bands onstage as much as I did!
(and if anyone has footage of Pearl Jam and Bono in Toronto I would really appreciate it!)

I'm still waiting for the snow to hit nyc. Absoulutely nothing. No boarding, no nothing.

oh yah, i hate the colts. You know, i should have picked up as many posters for the show as i could have gotten and given 1 to you. The only bad part of the concert was not getting any wine from Eddie. We did have the cups, remember. hahaha

I can't stand Bono and his pop group...they are not worthy to even talk about Pearl Jam letalone share a stage with them.

    Fuck U2.
  • U2 are one of Pearl Jam's biggest influences and you so called Pearl Jam fans don't recognize that, how come? That Toronto boot from 2005 tells it all. It saddens me that people can't respect our bands influences.

Too bad the tour is over and you've missed the past 6 months or so of haranging on the U2.com site....

This discussion has been had many times....some of us believe that Bono doesn't even remember the lyrics to "A Sort Of Homecoming" since it's been so long since it's made a live appearance.

We were kind of hoping Vedder would teach him...since he seems to know them just fine ;)!

yep... that was awesome, my homie Scott Perretta got up on stage and started playing that song and the band was down and went with it!
It was the first fan clip I ever filmed!
  • To all of you who did not complain about the Honolulu show - I apologize in advance for my agitation!

I had to stop reading this drivel around page 5 of the postings. What the f... is wrong with you people. I didn't realize I was going to a competition when I went to see the two best bands IN THE WORLD perform together. Mike is better, Edge sucks - no Edge is better, Mike sucks. Choreographed verses anything goes - Who cares - its all good to me. I'm just so pissed off I can't even go there. Fuck you if you didn't like certain fans, etc... Its not the bands - there's at least a few assholes IN EVERY CROWD!!!!!

Anyone who didn't have the best time ever is just a loser - period!!!! I have no time for that bullshit negativity!!!! I travelled the usual 20some hours, spent a fortune, made some great friends (PJ & U2 fans alike) AND HAD A FUCKING BLAST!!!!!!!!! (I did have laryngitis for 3 weeks afterward - but I'm definately not complaining!!!!!)

STAY HOME IF YOU'RE GOING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT TOTAL AWESOMENESS, LOSERS!!!!! And please don't come to Chicago if you are going to complain about the hundred loser bands that we all know are going to be there!!!!!
Thanks for that - and if you want to have a good time - look for me in Chicago!!!!!! or at any other Pearl Jam or U2 show that reaches the eastern seaboard (or where ever I may travel to).
