    :frowning: Come on down. We had something like 8 or 9 inches of rain last month. (That's not normal.) NE Ohio is definitely not dry right now.

    It's spooky in metro Van now. The smoke is blocking the sun, and the light is so eerie. I have never seen anything like this here. With the heatwave, now the creepy smoke cover, plus the fact that the mosquitoes all hatched yesterday, it is pretty fucking unpleasant here right now, lol.

    Same here, but thankfully minus the mosquitoes! For the whole day we've been expecting the apocalypse because the whole world looks orangey-yellow.

    Ambivalent and like I'm sort of whiny. We have had essentially no rain since April, which is unusual as we live in a temperate rain forest. Rain is forecast for this weekend, which we desperately need, but I'm scheduled to be at an outdoor music festival. I'm annoyed, and annoyed at myself for being annoyed because our forest fire rating has been at extreme since June. :perturbed:

    happy! have tickets to GC. going to be bringing my boyfriend who doesn't really get the whole pearl jam thing yet but he understands my loyalty. (he got me a record player and my first pj vinyl for xmas.) hoping this show converts him. :smiley: life is good.

    Hammered! Had my end of year work ball tonight. It's a crazy night and I'm actually in bed before 1am and now have FOMO of all the after parties I usually attend. Oh well I gotta act my age some time I suppose
