    I feel dumb as rocks cause I didn't get a pretty basic job I applied for. Feeling pretty awful. Not end of the world, but I have a lot to offer and am getting nowhere.

    Sorry to hear it, Sam. I know this doesn't help right now but they may have felt you were too qualified and too competent. People hiring for "pretty basic" jobs don't want people with aspirations to go further, they just want someone who will be content to remain in that basic job. Hope your day gets better in some way.

    That's kind of you, thanks! I'm trying to tell myself that, but I'm fairly certain that is not the case. I graduated in college in May, and all I really have is internships under my belt (I doubt employers at this stage care about the camp counseloring I did for 5 years prior). So I just kinda feel like crap. On the other hand, I might be able to talk to someone else about another position. So hopefully this gets better.
