I definitely want to meet the person that got it. I want to see what he/she has that I don't so that I can better myself. Anyway, we both agreed that the beginning of the year would be a good time to bring me in for the training, orientation, security card for access, setting up my email, etc. so that's the plan moving forward.
I'm not upset in the slightest, but it is a little disheartening knowing that the interview went so well, and I had every ounce of confidence but still couldn't pull it off. It doesn't help that I'm the type of person that went something goes wrong (even slightly) I'll analyze in my head till no end about what went wrong and how do I change it.

I have to tell you don't beat yourself up. It could be something as simple as the other candidate had more experience and there's nothing you can do about that except move forward with this position and gain that experience. Also, I'm embarrassed to say but I have interviewed people and had two or three choices for one position...at that point I just randomly picked.0 -
