for moments like this this fuckin life is so beautiful..
respect to the best crowd of the planet..
I saw that today too, it is beautiful to watch. Could not find myself in the crowd, but I know I was there, and was one of those voices and happy jumping bodies.
I am just a dreamer, but you are just a dream... If I knew where it was I would take you there.
"exactly....piss breaks and good seats my ass...will never enjoy a show like that yesterday...
"oh,even flow,im going for a beer..you want a hot dog??"
they dont have a clue what a rock concert is.."
I don't understand why you attend Pearl Jam shows in the United States if the crowds are that bad. I'm pretty sure we know what a rock concert is; everyone reacts differently at a show.
Congrats South America! You guys are getting some amazing shows!
My mate here hasn't answered, but that's ok, I'll do it for him.
Cos the friends and the band were there.
BA is different for us. Poster and record collectors have their holy grails. For the likes of Dimi and I, BA is THE holy grail for the sheer fact that the people in the crowd, so, so, so many of them... they get it. The English translation of that chant they did, 'Pearl Jam, it's a feeling.' THAT, right there. The holy grail. And they're not afraid to express it. They'll express themselves with a fucking loudspeaker, and bounce like a mexican wave of people on pogo sticks. Crazy motherfuckers.
5:25 to the end....im not redeem this feeling with any hotdog..
THIS IS CRAZY !!!!

We made the entire buillding shake, I puked from the sheer energy in that place!!
It makes me very sad when I hear people ripping on America (fans/shows/country),
since this is an AMERICAN rock band.
So have some respect for the country this band hails from,
the country that supported this band before anyone from overseas even knew who they were,
the country who appreciates the rarities, the b sides, the obscure covers,
the country whose fans know the words to EVERY song, not just TEN.
I´m sorry, I needed to get this off my chest since I went to Europe in 2006,
& people used it as an oppurtunity to talk smack about the USA.
Things are different in the USA (too many rules, liablility, etc).
Life is what you make it, & shows in the States have their own unique quality.
I ASSURE you, having been to 1/2 of the Borgata shows (2005),
& Lollapalooza (2007),
that on the RARE oppurtunity PJ gets to play a venue with some GA availability, USA rocks the house!!
There are PLENTY of things I could rip the fans from other parts of the world for,
but I choose to look at the beauty of the shows, not the negatives.
So please, don´t throw stones in glass houses,
I don´t believe anyone should pass judgement on what is obviously a very subjective & personal experience!!
Thanks, & can´t wait for the Chile & Lima Shows!!

Nice post matt. In my prior post I didn't mean any disrespect for the south american fans, they are absolutely amazing! I just don't understand why people rip american fans and then see shows here. And why even compare the Buenos Aires fans to American fans? But like I said before, south america you are getting spectacular shows! Hopefully pj tours there again soon.
Hey dimitri (first sorry about my english), I just saw your comments about the show in argentina, I was there in the show but I cant reply in the post because I am not a member of 10c, so I belive that only members can make a post, right? and thats a problem haha because I just wanna tell you people my feelings about that night, I will appreciate if you can make that for me and copy this message there. I want to tell that something strange happens here after a show like that, we call that a "post show depression", its something that you feel inside, like an empty space, something has gone, after that energy then you feel like you have to wait anothers five years or something like that, well that is what happening now. But, to tell you about that night I have to say that we love rock and we have a lot of grunge fans here in argentina, the passion here is special, about that I only find an explanation in the social history of my country, times of repression and then the resurrection in the scene of many bands, its like were in the USA 90' and all that people turning crazy, we experiences that in 2005 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GP_ATex9xWE) and we felt that again that night two days ago. Well I was there in the crowd, the beginning of the show were amazing, the people were so excited, "even flow" were the first highlight. Then "do the evolution" and all of us were jumping as high as possible, and singing of course. Then "black", all was amazing, and all we chanting the final guitar part, then the highest point in the show, we just felt that energy and trying to put it out, I remember myself jumping and singing ole ole ole, I take some stranger's shoulder, we embraced and continue jumping together, other guy come to us and did the same, and then other, all people were so happy and jumping, then I just touched mi face and realize that I was crying, at that time the lights were lit a little and I saw many people crying, boys wich were younger than the album Ten! Thats something that you cant see through youtube, but that happend and thats what Im gonna take from the show and carry with me forever ,like the two nights in the 2005 and once again, Pearl Jam always will be in my life an in the life of all these people at the stadium, bringing music into feelings, and jumping for that like at the end, jumping and smiling because we knew that the end was near, rocking in the free world! thanks to all those people that shared that feeling with me!
Ps, if you like the energy that we put in the rock shows you must to see all the videos from “argentina best crowd ever” on youtube, hope someday you can come and experience that here in SA, thanks!

I´m southamerican, and I´d love to see PJ at USA (not "America" to me) or Canada. I know it ain´t gonna be the same kind of show, including venue, fans energy, singalongs, setlists, etc. And I´m sure you´d enjoy it down here two.
I think both are specials in their way. But about the crowd, there´s no doubt we are more energetic.
This obviusly has to be with two main things. One is that we are different cultures. And the other one is that the Bands doesn´t play so often down here, so when they come we give everything we have.
I was there and there's no words to explain the feeling of seeing the band you love so much with such a happy expression on their faces all the time while looking at the crowd.
You really feel that you're giving them something to remember and one can feel seeing their faces that they're holding that moment in their minds wishing that it last forever. I think it's what every rock & roll band would dream of.
For us it was the concert of our dreams and I'm sure for the band it will be on their minds for a long long time.
Really hope they release this on DVD it's a must see for every Pearl Jam fan.
I keep seeing the Black and Better Man vids on youtube and cannot help but burst some tears smiling at the screen while remembering that perfect night.
Dimitri I hope you could see a PJ show in BA, there's no words but you got it right from your posts.

But I do not want to derail this thread, which should be about the Buenos Aires show, and not which fans are the best, loudest, etc. That's besides the point. All I will say is that of all the shows I have seen, Pearl Jam's show last Sunday has been my favorite and special in a way I cannot explain. I hope the band felt that love and happiness and sheer joy they brought out in so many of us. Hopefully that was our gift to them.
Peace.
PS. Dari, I understand exactly how you feel and i think all PJ fans feel post-tour depression!!

WOW I just watched that video. Now we see why the guys keep on doing what they do. They give us so much and we (the fans/crowed) give them what they will never get in a studio.
Please guys more live shows and less time off in between. Bring your families along. They can shop and the band and us can Jam away

I cannot see it either, it is very weird. Many of my friends can see it, and a few cannot.
Can't figure out why that is the case.
Regardless, I saw the faces in all of them, and they were filled with awe, and you could tell a lot was going through their minds, eyes, hearts... you could just feel it. It was beautiful to see.

Oh and also... by Encore 2, I throw the flag up front for the front row people to try to get it on stage, and a guy kept it the entire show there up front where Ed could see it, of course, during RITFW, he got a tambourine!! Then he gave the flag to a security dude to throw on stage, but he took it UNDER the stage with him... haha that sucked.

Probably here not the best place to ask (very biased to say at least), but how do other concerts look like in Buenos Aires? Lets say when someone like Metallica, Depeche Mode or whoever comes over, do they get such a respons, singalongs, even "guitar solos singalongs" ?

"From the stage, the best crowd/show of all time, an acid trip of Argentinian passion. Hard to explain not only what we were seeing but what we were feeling....first time in a long time that I couldn't sleep after a show.
Still processing it....

If I knew where it was I would take you there.
