She was pretty stunned because the entire arena was pumping their fists at her during the Alive solo/outro. Very cool.

When Ed got back from the second encore break he makes reference to her, and says something like "we're only going to play one more song because it's Melinda's got to go to school tomorrow". Then he looks at her and says something like "Fuck school, you want us to continue right?" He then turns away embarrassed and admits " Shit! I said Fuck!" :D

you could see him say the last part??.......that`s funny as hell...
    MORE BARN!!!!!
  • Thanks for posting the pics, what a great show! Unbelievable setlist.. I even ended up with a pick from Stone!

Anyways, I just wanted to share some of the pictures I took from the show from about 11 rows out. They're probably not the best out there, but some of them are worth the look.

    Enjoy...

  • you could see him say the last part??.......that`s funny as hell...

If you mean could we "hear" him say it, yes he turns around and says it to the crowd on the mic.

Great moment in a night of many!

  • There's nothing I can really say that hasn't been said so far. I'd say it's the 2nd best PJ show I've been to, (the best being my first, back in the Yield era).

Oceans, Black Red Yellow, Hard to Imagine, the energy, the intensity, the comedy, the little kid on stage, Mike playing behind his head...everything was just awesome. It could be a concert DVD.

Thanks to those who've posted great pics in this thread!
  • I must be the only one in the world who doesn't care for Nothing as it Seems. Oh well.
I think of it as more of a feeling a Zone they project all of a sudden everything is different! When they play that song

    Bleed For Me
    by Dead Kennedys

    You've been hanging 'round
With an enemy of the state
Come with me to the building
    That no-one stops to watch

    C'mon bleed
    C'mon bleed
    C'mon bleed
    Bleed for me

We'll strap you to a pipe
    Electrodes on your balls
    C'mon scream
    C'mon writhe
Face down in a pool of piss

    C'mon bleed
    C'mon bleed
    C'mon bleed
    Bleed for me

In the name of world peace
In the name of world profits
America pumps up our secret police
    America wants fuel
To get it, it needs puppets
    So what's ten million dead?
If it's keeping out the Russians

We're well trained by the CIA
With Yankee tax money in Ft. Bragg
The Peace Corps builds us labor camps
When they think they're building schools

    Ha Ha

When cowboy Ronnie comes to town
Forks out his tongue at human rights
Sit down, enjoy our ethnic meal
    Dine on some charbroiled nuns
    Try a medal on
Smile at the mirror as the cameras click
    and make Big Business happy!

    Anytime
    Anywhere
    Maybe you'll just disappear

    C'mon bleed
    C'mon bleed
    C'mon bleed
    Bleed!

P.S. I love Nothing As it Seems.

  • My complaints:
1.) Security came over and hassled my friends during You Are about a doobie. It distracted from the song, which I shit my pants for when I heard it come on..
That would be your friends' fault, not security
  • 50% of people at all the concerts I've been to blaze up and I've never seen/heard about anyone getting shit from security. Whether you smoke or not it should just be a given at concerts.

  • Thanks for the pics and the reviews, sounded like a great time. What was the song after Not 4 You? Was it an improv?

  • Great show. Especially after Kitchener which was great too... but this show just was more for fans as the setlist featured so many tunes I only hoped to hear. Worked out great for me as I took my wife, who is not a big fan to Kitchener, and my best friend, who is a big fan to London where the setlist relied a little less on hits. Two great shows..... thanks Pearl Jam, London and Kitchener for two great nights.

Agreed...don't be stupid and do it right in front of the guy.
He is alive but feels absolutely nothing.
    So is he?
When he was six he believed that the moon overhead followed him.
By nine he had deciphered the illusion trading magic for fact.
    No tradebacks...
So this is what it's like to be an adult
If he only knew now what he knew then...
  • Agreed...don't be stupid and do it right in front of the guy.

Oh no no, they didn't do it in front of the guy, a lady in our row got up and went to told the security. Like we had one of the venue employees, and he was just a young guy, and didn't seem to care. Then two hired ISM guards came over and lectured them. I know it's against the venue rules, but that's not the point in this situation.

They should have come over during Jeremy. :)

wow, amazing - the closest ive ever been to the band

i didnt use my TC tickets, and ended up 11th row on the floor, almost centre...it was amazing...growing up gave me goose bumps...i felt like a little school girl up there, no joke

when the whole band hit the stage just before 9 it was awesome...when they ripped through breakfall, hail hail and a few others to open i was trippin...i felt like i was back in time (95'ish)

black, red, and yellow was awesome...im sure BRY as well as hard to imagine sound great on the boot...if you hear a big "whooooooo", just before the emotional "things were different then" it's me!

kitehener was a better show, but being that close blew me away...it's a rare opportunity and i gotta thank the member of the board who offered it to me

thanks "Whippin" for an amazing experience

My natural language is Spanish so maybe it says this somewhere and i missed it... What's the story with the cute little girl on stage? I read what ed said but how did she get there and who is she?

My friend happened to talk to her father after the show. The girl was in the audience, and Eddie had her come up on stage. Eddie looked so happy dancing with her. I thought her name was Melissa though.
There's more to balance than not falling over.
  • AMAZING SHOW! I got the opener that I was hoping for AND Hard to Imagine! The highlight for me, without a doubt, getting waves from Mike after he recognized my shirt and then him holding up the shirt I gave him during the last encore!!!!!!!! And of course, seeing the card that my friend and I made for the PreParty! I'll say it again, AMAZING SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!
Change don't come at once, it's a wave. Building before it breaks.
