Was waiting while my wife was having an MRI. She's been having migraines and really bad vertigo that seemingly never goes away. Apparently there can be benign tumors on or behind your ear that can cause that. Doctor wanted to check to see if that was the culprit. MRI didn't show anything though, so it's probably related to sinuses not draining properly.

Thank you both for the good wishes.
Hope they get it solved for her, migraines and toothaches are the worst pain ever!
^^^ they're called acoustic neuromas. Benign, yes, but still can be a problem so glad to hear your wife doesn't have one. Did the MRI include the sinuses too? (hope so, it's all in close proximity). I hope she gets some relief soon.
my small self... like a book amongst the many on a shelf

Thanks to you both. I hope she gets it solved too. I hate feeling helpless when I can't do anything to make her feel better.
The MRI did show the sinuses. It seems it's a buildup of excess fluid behind her ear that isn't draining, causing the sinuses to get backed up, which in turn causes the headaches and vertigo. Nasty cycle all around. I think she's going to wind up having to have tubes put in her ears to let everything drain properly. I will say that at least it's not something that occurs every day, so it's manageable for the time being. Just want to get a permanent solution and hopefully those tubes will be able to fix it.

Put it off all these years because I hear it's a real downer but I'm caving in now.
