I wouldn't disagree with people being upset over a clear "no limit on items". But people are upset because the 10c just left the door open (on accident).

The 10c messed up, forgive and forget. As of yesterday I didn't have one of the albums. I wasn't upset others did... I didn't complain about it to anyone.
Leaving the door opens means they didnt put any info on limits at any point... SLH posted that there was no limits for the first day of orders. So then people who did buy for others figured they were OK. Then after they sold out again they went back and essentially said... 'on second thought I change my mind even though its too late for you now.'

It is what it is... but all of the people mocking those that are upset of the change isn't any better than people who ordered 10+ or whatever. As careful as TC is with limits... there's no way they forgot to put one on here originally. Not a chance...esp since they could have watched the orders come in and added it pretty quickly. I had ordered one for a TCer in Hawaii who was @ work, but at least I did tell him that I wasn't sure if they'd be OK with it just because I always knew it was possible they'd cut the orders down to one.

I just can't stand the people mocking the people on this thread... but as I said already, it is what it is.

Exactly. I wouldn't have cared if they'd said yesterday morning that they were cancelling the multiple orders... my friend could have gone and bought one himself... they didn't... they waited until it was over and screwed people with no reason, no comment, no nothing... they've gone silent. References to "more important things going on in the world" are irrelevant here, that has nothing to do with the issue at hand which is the way 10c conducts its business. The inference that all people who bought 2 copies are flippers and that "you can't play more than 1" are likewise irrelevant and misguided, considering the pages of information provided.

I just read in the other thread that one guy bought four copies, one to play, one to keep sealed, and one each for his daughters aged 2 and 5! To me that is ridiculous, and it kind of shows that behind the veil of care for other fans, some people on here are ultimately looking out for number one. I have no problem with calling it what it is - dog-eat-dog, but how someone can then start whining about it not being fair seems quite laughable.
That's one example though... you'll always have some weird ones in there.

As for people looking out for #1... this board is always that way. Every community is. Everyone is lovey-dovey until someone tries to get in front of their TC ticket, or in front of them at the merch booth, etc.

I know a great lawyer who will take the case. You just can't take a picture of his hands.

They are all assuming people with multiple orders are automatically flippers, which doesn't make sense.

ALL exclusive merchandise should be set at a limit of one.

Allowing multiple orders will ALWAYS lead to massive flipping, you cannot deny this.

That's one of the perks for being in the club, the exclusive merchandise. If a friend wants a copy, then he/she should join. If you're a collector AND you want to *play* your vinyl...oh well, I guess you're going to have to make a choice.

Ok, so clearly people on here have some very misguided priorities.

It's a record people. It's not a cure for cancer, or something that will save your child's life, it's not a life or death situation, and here we have 14 pages of bitching, whining and moaning because people missed out.

Missing out on some stuff is a fact of life. Deal with it.

As far as I know, canceling an order that was placed on the internet is not illegal in any country. It only becomes a legal issue if they cancel your order but still keep your money. A business can cancel an order or change it, include price changes, if it wants, until the item is shipped. It's in writing on most sites, if people care to read the fine print.

Also as far as I can see it, Santos has done the only thing he could have done. It's no different to a parent who says yes to something, then after the fact realises that someone, or multiple someone's have taken advantage of that yes. So in order to be fair to the majority, he changes the rules. If people hadn't taken advantage in the first place, none of you would be here bitching. Oh wait, yes you would. You'd still be bitching that you missed out. Because the fact of the matter remains that people who troll the boards day and night because they don't have a life, people who have other people texting them to let them know a sale is on, people who have faster internet speeds or more money available on their credit cards are still going to be the ones getting the goods.

Santos changed the rules because he had to. Because too many people DO take advantage of the system, and it's not fair to the MAJORITY. In any democratic state ANYWHERE, democracy rules. The majority always have the advantage.

It's not against the law, it's possibly not fair to the legitimate buyers, but hey....why are people buying more than one in the first place? You can only play ONE record at a time, and why do you need more than one copy if you aren't planning on selling it? Yes, maybe you were buying for others, but how is that fair to all the fans who don't have friends trolling the boards 24/7 to alert them to limited edition sales? It's not. There's your answer.

Life isn't fair. You're all just pissed because this time you lost out.

    Amen brother.

Now let's move on instead of whining about this.

Well I don't see how any of this really matters then. At the end of the day, there will ALWAYS be people missing out on limited edition stuff. Even if they gave everybody a whole week's warning, and the website behaved itself on the day and didn't go into meltdown, there would still be many people left disappointed. Would it have been fairer for me to miss out on buying the vinyl because I live in a different part of the world and I was asleep when they went on sale? As opposed to someone else whose friend bought them a copy, now missing out? I'm willing to bet that many of the same people who are now angry, probably couldn't have given two shits about the fans they denied copies because of their multiple purchases.

You're absolutely right. It's like watching the same TC members bring down their friends at shows every single time and sneak people into the rows during shows. They don't care about hte people to the sides that are being pushed away from them and their friends, and they don't care about the people behind them that now have more people in front of them blocking their views, yet it happens almost every show I've ever seen.

People on here are all in cliques and when things are calm everyone is all happy with everyone, but the second there's something going on everyone drops the pleasantries and goes into battle mode.

This is a joke... This "business" is a joke.
I left a message with my cousin who is a lawyer on this matter.
It does not matter HOW many someone ordered... If someone wants 7 or 10 or 50 why does it matter. Having multiple of something does not mean your going to flip it.
If the TEN CLUB wanted to be fair about this they would have sent out an email to everyone, giving them a notice on when the sale would take place.
Not only were my multiples taken out of my cart, they have still charged me shipping on them.

Your lawyer cousin probably won't be able to help you. As a "business" they have to right to void any sales. They will have to return all of the $ which I'm sure they will do but there isn't much recourse because they voided a sale.

And having 2 might not mean you are going to flip it but if you buy 25 of them.. its a pretty good sign.
    1. THey can't void YOUR product and then sell it to someone else. THey clearly took these out of peoples cart to have a sale today as they are out of stock. Not only that but the confirmed that all orders last night would be hornored.
    2. THey have not returned my shipping, as I am still be charged for the shipping on items I will not be recieving.
    3. At what number do you draw the line. So 2 is ok but not 3? 3 is ok but not 4? You can't prove anyones intentions with this...

    1. Yes they can.
    2. Has the $ actually been taken out of your acct? It may take a day or so but they aren't going to keep your 7 bucks.
    3. I can't prove that someone who buys 25 copies isn't going to flip it but you can't prove they canceled these orders for the sale.
