"Three Men and a Baby." 1987's highest grossing movie. Also, directed by Leonard Nimoy (yes, Spock).

Don't forget the sequel a few years later!

I'm been waiting for years for the trilogy to be complete.... (joking)

I'm a cook. I don't ever use a computer except for when I need to check my time card and take vacation days. I'm pretty good about clocking in and out and usually take vacation days well in advance. So, I don't go on the computers very often around here. But when I skip a week or so of logging on, I have a panic of trying to remember what Pearl Jam song I use as my password. After a few tries, I nailed it

    Yellow moon.

    Back in the game!

    Bump.

I wonder if the new Vikings stadium will ever host a show.

Seems silly to spend all that money, I if they're only going to use the building 9 or 10 times a year. The web site says they want to host high school and college games. And attract an MLS team.

I'm sure they'll find other events to host there.
I thought I read somewhere that it'll be the new home of Gophers baseball, too, but I could be wrong.

Haven't they learned anything from the MetroDome? Baseball doesn't not belong on a football field!

It would make more sense to share fields with the Saints. It's only a few miles up the road...
  • Just wanted to say- I just had a brain MRI done, where you lay perfectly still with your eyes closed while the machine makes migraine-inducing noises for 35 minutes. How did I cope? Sung PJ songs in my head :D Best kind of distraction.

MRI's are LOUD. Hope your head is ok. Some places will provide headphones, or even aromatherapy candles!

They gave me headphones but I could hardly hear the music. And actually they said they had satelite and I was going to ask if they had Sirius for the pj station :p

Head should be fine, sounds like they're being over cautious.

The Gophers I believe will still play baseball there, as will a ton of high school teams. They need the indoor facility because baseball games need to be played in March and April for HS and college and we all know that ain't gonna happen outdoors here.

I'm stateside again and very spacey, but suffice it to say, the trip was well worth it.

The people of Ireland, Scotland and England were very good to us and today, I'm on a steady diet of green things and water after heartily enjoying the best coffee, beer and whiskey that the Isles had to offer.

We saw more than a combined dozen ancient castles, churches or cathedrals. We walked cobblestone streets and walled cities. We ate great food and terrible food. We sat on a Scottish hillside and listened to a family sing hymns. We listened to two men debate the finer points of the doctrine of exorcism in a cafe next to St. Paul's Cathedral. We drank Guinness and listened to American blues in a hole in the wall pub in Dublin. We heard the English accent go from refined to irritating to refined again. We saw Shakespeare's grave and David Hume's grave and just about every memorial to Winston Churchill there is. We saw the house where Dickens wrote Oliver Twist, the book I was reading while there. We took a nap in Hyde Park and woke up to hear Neil Young play two songs in the first 25 minutes of a stellar 130 minute set. We sang along with friends we'd met in Amsterdam and met again in Leeds and at Milton Keynes.

People have asked in the past if it's worth it to "travel to see Pearl Jam," and I never know how to answer that question because it's never asked right in the first place. Pearl Jam in other places has always been the first flick of the first domino in a travel plan that's always and inevitably led to something entirely different. Done at break-neck speed, this trip was no exception. What a ride.

PS At the risk of being flamed away by others, Milton Keynes might have been as good a show...

I swear I thought the first PS was saying that MK was the better show, edited to as "as good a show".

Either way, it sounded like an awesome trip. Welcome back, settle into MN life for a few days and then let's plan a meeting at Amsterdam for sometime next week

Haha...it totally did. But then I thought back to Leeds, and realized what a special show that was. However...I think Milton Keynes might get overlooked as a fantastic show in it's own right, just because it followed Leeds. The energy at both shows was really something.
