I don't know if I'd pass on a band just because they were at Roy Wilkins.

You've been to roy wilkins, haven't you? It is a joke. Tear it down.

So it sounds like PJ is at ACL. Hopefully Minneapolis gets a show if this is part of a tour.

I have been at Roy Wilkins. A couple times. And I agree it sucks. Worse place in town. But, I wouldn't not go see a band I like just because they were at Roy Wilkins.

Slayer. Audioslave. Beck. Stone Temple Pilots.

In that order. Over the years.

If.IF Pearl Jam plays Austin. It gives me hope that they are playing the middle of the country. Atleast Texas is straight south.

The best part about that (it's looking like it's true, someone just posted a Rolling Stone link) is the timing. Fall date in the US...probably more dates to come.

It's up on the ACL page now.

Have people I could stay with in Austin. So this may be possible. Still hoping for some dates closer to home.

Anyone else notice the local radio stations digging a little deeper into Pearl Jam's catalog recently? 89.3 The Current spun Life Wasted & World Wide Suicide last couple days. I'm thinking they're refreshing the casual PJ listener's ear ahead of a tour announcement...thoughts?
  • kdiddykdiddy Posts: 737
I wanna believe this too! The current has definitely been pulling out the good stuff lately. Every time I hear an older song I can't help but think this is exactly what they're doing. I'm also keeping an ear out for Future Days to be played in hopes that that rumor comes full circle too.
  • evenflow82evenflow82 Posts: 3,891
I wouldn't play future days on the radio with a gun to my head. :-P

Ha, completely. I'm a deejay on my turntable and iPod. :-)

PJ is allowed a few ballads on an album, I just think Ed can do a lot better than future days.

    Another thought:
Even though it's a mid-term election year, it's still a pretty important one. (aren't they all?) I see PJ making a run thru purple/red states in the months/weeks leading up to November 4th.

barb abney spun 'why go' the other day and at the end of the song came on and said 'you guys just wanted me to let it run into 'black' didn't you?'

    duh, barb.

sadly she didn't, but i definitely appreciate she can recognize what some fans might be thinking.

I would be really shocked if there weren't more dates. Maybe not a bigger tour or even anything like last year, but I'm betting there are some more dates. Maybe 15?

It's nice that there is an anchor date that they will most likely build around for the rest of their tour.

Anyone hear what tix prices are running for McCartney? An arm, leg, or both? I'm too lazy to look.

Also any noise on who has booked TCF the second weekend of July? I remember seeing something in the Strib, but haven't heard peep since.

i think i saw $35 on the low end, and 200-300 on the high end.

the strib said that the tcf acts are possibly imagine dragons and fun.
