Wrigley was fantastic. Shorter set sure, but the band sounded better than I'd heard in a while. Great trip.

What standard song can you not wait to hear live, EVERYTIME you see them?
Mine is Evenflow.
To me, Evenflow sounds like rock n roll. It was probably the first song of theirs I really clung to when I heard it on the radio at the tender age of 13. And seeing it live is amazing. Mike always blows the doors off with his solo. It's incredible. I love it always.
given to fly.. I knew the hits before, growing up, but when Z showed me this song, it changed my PJ world. It's an emotional song live. The progression is just incredible!
Byyyy the way, gang.. I'm sorry to inform you, but I was working at Big Wood tonight and Jill Reilly from the Current was in drinking a beer before a wedding and I got to talking with her. Before she headed out I asked here straight up.. Any rumblings of PJ coming out. She said she hadn't heard anything and confirmed that if she did she would've told me (aka, she wouldn't have lied). I told her about our theory about the frequent radio play and she understood but neither confirmed or denied it but I took it as "it must be in your head.." Oh well, it's still a ways out from a fall tour announcement anyway, so....

Brother, Radio DJ's probably get this all the time when they're out. I would think the Program Director (or whoever) keeps the DJ's in the Black until the day of announcement. That way there's less chance for leakage, and the radio announcement sounds more authentically exciting.
More Ramblings: Once they announce a big show like ACL, they have to let the buzz sell some tix before they will announce more shows. Why Go to ACL if U know PJ is Guaranteed to come to MSP?
Just Breathe, I Believe In Miracles. PJ will Come Back to MSP, and My Father's Son will be Driven to Tears.

Okay okay, true. You make a good point
I still look to PJ Radio & their YouTube channel for hints of upcoming tour announcement. They posted a bunch of songs recorded in Europe on YouTube leading up to that announcement.
Recent YouTube videos posted: St Louis, MO Lexington, KY Atlanta, GA Nashville, TN Charlotte, NC Raleigh, NC Tampa, FL West Palm Beach, FL Birmingham, AL New Orleans, LA Houston, TX San Antonio, TX Chicago, IL Oklahoma city, OK Denver, CO
Recent concerts played on Ten Club Radio: Washington, DC Champaign, IL Dallas, TX Maryland Heights, MO Cleveland, OH Charlottesville, VA Philadelphia, PA Pittsburgh, PA
I assuming anything near ACL is out do to contractual obligations. A lot of these cities have rec'd PJ festival treatment recently - maybe PJ wants to return and do a proper show now? Otherwise, I think these cities would make for a pretty good tour through key voting states leading up to November in an election year. Perhaps they need to get back in front of that valuable college demographic like they did in 2000.
Only problem - MSP is noticeably missing...TCF Stadium 2014?! Does Mariucci Arena host concerts?!
If they play Minneapolis, it will be at the X or Target Centre. Those cities look pretty close to alot of the citites that were also rumored late last year for the May 2014 tour that didn't happen. I think Toronto and Montreal could get shows too. I don't think NOLA gets a show a year after Voodoo, and Chicago might get skipped since they played Wrigley.
I emailed the program director from The Current this week and he said he hadn't heard any rumors for a Twin Cities show. If PJ does tour around ACL we should get an announcement by June so there should be some rumors of holds on venues starting up.

Smart! Has anyone emailed the booking agents for Xcel or Target Center? Perhaps they just need a little encouragement to give PJ a call.

For me it's the way the song builds and explodes, just the structure of it. And for me there's just an emotional connection.
Probably my favorite PJ tune, or at least a tie with I Am Mine.
