Don't worry guys....I heard from Charley Walters who heard from a little birdie that the boys will be playing "The Great Minnesota Get Together" to kick off their 2013 tour. 8-)

The day PJ hits the State Fair circuit is the day they should hang it up. (See: the washed-up has-beens or superstar country artists performing the grandstand any given year).:lol::lol:

when was the last time they played MN?

2006 if you count the Petty shows. 2003 since a proper show.

technically March 16th, 2010 at Target Center for Target's annual meeting ;)

Wooo! This was my first PJ experience and I'll take it! This was one year after I met my boyfriend DZ who got me super into PJ (thanks babe!) so when I got to go to the Target meeting and sit right in front of the catwalk where Eddie would later grab my hand, I was floored. Got me off to an amazing start for my PJ fandom. :D

Well it was either the State Fair Grandstand or 7th St Entry. :) I was lucky enough to see the Mighty Mighty Bosstones at The Entry. It was like watching them in my basement.

Im sorry, no disrespect here, but can this thread be taken down? please! It didn't work for the south when they had it up and the results are looking eerily familiar.
I am from Wisconsin...northern Wisconsin. Milwaukee is 6 hours away but the twin cities are only 3, therefore making it a more viable option.

maybe I'm just superstitious or something! :geek:

Pretty disappointed in the announcement honestly. It gets annoying when bands constantly cater to the coasts only and leave out the middle of the country for the most part. I couldn't even get close to a show if I wanted.

Well, last I checked, the South got Dallas, OKC, Virginia, NC, New Orleans, and Atlanta and Florida last fall. So you're definition of what's "working" and what's not might need to be adjusted.

    Thanks for bumping it along.

Does anyone remember that wall you could write on at PJ20?

Someone drew the state of MN with a comment that was like "PJ loves money, minnesota says screw you." I've got to think the band saw that...even though all they do care about these days is money (dogs collars).

Maybe the band thought the whole Midwest can make it to the Wrigley show???

I am disappointed since it has been since 2003 that they made a full concert trip to MN (not including the TP shows or the Target show). Hope we get some love in 2014!!

So - who is pumped for the Wrigley show??? Saw "An Evening with Pearl Jam" at the Gorge years back. They go deep into their setlists for these - 3+ hours of PJ never disappoints. Can't wait to see what seats we have on the floor/lower bowl.

Yea, what was up with the Petty show in 06? Seemed like the band knew they couldn't sell out the arena so they had to suck up to old man petty for some help.

Although technically Pensicola is in Florida, it's not really Florida. It's more Alabama than Florida. It's about an eight hour drive from Orlando and about an 11 hour drive from South Florida.

I do feel bad for you guys. If there was one state that fought hard, it was you guys. Best of luck in 2014.
