That would have nice. It would be even nicer if they did a better job of getting guys in from 3rd with less than 2 out...we're getting into bullpen time soon.

Gotta hand it to Fister though...he sure has battled tonight.

    Pull this fuckin guy...
    Put Dotel in...
I NEVER feel comfortable when the game is this close and Valverde is in.

With a 4-0 lead bring in Dottel...lets face it Leylands a horrible manager...too damn loyal...this isn't little league, if you don't perform why is he playing.

I've never seen Cabrera so upset...and he was looking Leylands way...it's Leylands job to put the best guy on the mound to get the job done and it's been obvious that Valverde is not the guy and does Leyland not see that.

The sad part is probably any other ballpark...those home runs are just routine fly balls. What is it 314 down the lines...;)

i was listening to the 9th on my way home from work....heard that Valverde had a big lead & immediately thought of when he was in Houston. i had a feeling Detroit was in trouble. Leyland should've went w/ Dotel after Ichiro homered. wow. what are the odds of one player (Ibanez) doing that again? holy shit! even if my favorite team sucked big time this year....NOTHING beats playoff baseball.

I actually really like Leyland. He's old school man. I know he wants Valverde to work through his bullshit but I totally agree that the ALCS is not the time or place to be doing that.
