You admit that you don’t know or care about facts, thus, you basically mimic and embellish second-handed garage in order start trouble, probably only when you're with your group of friends. Well I hope as you move forward in life, your mouth and friends don’t get you into too much trouble.

Here’s a fact you should be aware of – there are still many, many, many, Americans who really do hate Jews, and, I would recommend that you find out about that type of hate because it is so much different from your casual use of the term anti-Semitic

Well, I don't hate Jews. Tell me this, why do so many hate Jews>>>>>> Your Thoughts???
  • I will admit I don't know as much as I should on this topic but I fully support a Palestinian state. There is no reason for them not to have one, and there is enough land for both parties. Having said that they lose a lot of support internationally due to the terrorist activity they engage in. The rest of the world may "support" Palestine's statehood, but they do not press hard for the issue or the US would have to cave. Remember people protested in the streets around the world in regards to South Africa. Why doesn't Palestine get the same love?

IMO its because there is no denying Palestine engages in terrorist activities to attack Israel. Even if the attacks are retaliation against Israel, that is no excuse. Did you ever try that as a kid? I hit Johnny and caused him to bleed but its ok because he hit me first. Did that ever work out for you?

Being oppressed is no excuse to attack the oppressors. Follow the lead of Gandhi, Mandela, MLK Jr. etc and you gain respect which is the first step in gaining your freedoms. It is a tough pill to swallow when you have to be the bigger person so to speak, but Palestine could make Israel and the US look absolutely foolish if they continue to engage in peaceful negotiations. The article posted earlier in the thread by a supporter of Palestine, even acknowledges that check points are starting to be lifted as the attacks lesson.

I fear more violence if they continue the path for statehood via UN rather than negotiations.

Well her is a little fact for you. I'm 50 years old and I am old enough to remember my neighbor who had numbers tattooed on his arm from the concentration camps. He would tell me of the stories of what his family had to face and how many family members he lost during this evil time.

These stories alone have allowed to make my own decisions on how I support Israel. The Palestinians have already publicly stated that there will be NO Jewish minority in Palestine. No ethnic cleansing here??????? This is enough for me.

No need to text my friends here, sorry.

why must you pick a side? ... if you have to pick a side - how about the side of humanity? ... being tortured and imprisoned doesn't entitle anyone to do the same to others ... especially other innocent people ...

supporting israel today means supporting a zionist agenda that involves the the oppression of a people - many of whom simply just want to be able to live free with an opportunity to raise their families ... to have access to the things we often take for granted ... to be treated as humans ...

without hearing the other side or getting some more facts ... all you are doing is subscribing to an ideology or an indoctrination ... open your eyes and open your heart ... trust me when i say - what is happening over there should break anyone's heart ...

For your information, the Palestinians have publicly stated their support of the international consensus for a peaceful settlement to the Israel-Palestine conflict based on implementation of U.N Resolution 242 which calls for an immediate withdrawal of Israeli forces from land occupied during and since the 1967 war.
The Palestinians, along with the whole World, support this position, while Israel and the U.S oppose it.
The whole World is one one side, and Israel and the U.S are on the other side - calling for more so-called 'peace-talks', which is nothing more than a stalling tactic to allow Israel to steal more land and build more illegal Jewish-only settlements.

Okay then; does indifference count as neutrality?

As I see it, the problem is interventionalist politics have proven particularly ineffective in this region. I find both the Palestinian and Israeli to be completely unacceptable and I don't foresee a solution to this conflict anytime soon. There is such a deep-rooted hatred that has developed between these two peoples that both sides come across as deeply duplicitous and insincere. I don't believe that either side honestly sees compromise as a legitimate option. These are two warring factions that have tried to legitimize the murders of innocent women and children while pointing the finger at the other side. It's time that the West stopped pretending that there is a solution to this conflict and starts to focus on its own shortcomings before we fall into economic and social ruin.

You don't go around trying to fix up somebody else's house when yours is cracking at its foundation. The US needs to stop wasting its time trying to save the world and focus on saving itself (the same is true of most Western powers).

Or the U.S could just stop abusing it's power of automatic veto at the U.N and allow a peaceful settlement based on the will of the whole of the international community.
It could also stop bankrolling Israel every year to the tune of $4 Billion of U.S taxpayers money.

I knew at some point the Holocaust would be evoked What does the Holocaust have to do with a Palestinian state? Did you stop to ask yourself why Israel doesn't attack Germany, Poland, France, Italy, Norway, Switzerland, the Vatican, the US, the UK, Russia, Paraguay, Brazil and others that participated, endorsed and/or turn a blind eye to their plight. Why is the Holocaust an Arab problem?

I think it's apparent that we have very different political leanings. You are probably the most pro-Palestinian poster I've ever encountered and I'm firmly in the "I don't care" camp. I think my position clearly suggests that the US needs to pull out of the foreign policy game (which would include the Israeli subsidies and the U.N. vetoing). There's no need to be so snotty about it.

No you weren't. You asked me why people still hated Jews and I asked you why you thought people still hated Jews. I asked you this question in hopes that you'd see that discussing Israel's policies is not a pretext to being anti-Semitic, when there are those that exist in America that truly do hate Jews and if you'd seek out some of those reasons, you'd see how easy it is to continuously spread the hate. I for one, am damn tired of our troops being in the Middle East.

Actually, I don't disagree with you on this. I do beleive we put our noses in way to many countries business. I do want to make one thing perfectly clear, I am not a Tea Bagger, did not like Bush, can;t stand Obama.... Right now the best answer for America is Ron Paul. I think he fit's your beleive of what America should do.

    As a side note, I see you are into MMA and martial arts. I study Wing Chun Kung Fu and do beleive Bruce Lee had a good view on life. My style of Kung Fu is very defense oriented and I don't believe in physical violence. The world is a different place and my view of Obama would be much different if he indeed brought all of our troops home.;

I don't give two shits how old you are. The anti-Vietnam war movement didn't protest the troops. It protested the suits who sent them to that bullshit war. The movement was begun by vets and was run by vets.
