Some hand picked fan club members get fringe benefits...But, not every fan club gets this.....It should be totally random winners....If you win any row during a tour?...Your name should be marked off the list for that row...
Jeremy
but if your name is marked off... then it's not totally random... as not all eligible parties would be able to partake in the lotto process
thereby, henceforth changing the dynamic of it all so that the paradigm would be shifted away from totally random to almost random but maintaining an exclusionary list of previous winners
I am sure some on here think it is totally random...It isn't.....Don't get me wrong....It is cool that they do the lottery tickets...But, if your going to call it random....At least make it totally random...I know that the 10c picks a certain amount of fans to win the lottery.....That is fine...But, don't call it random...
Jeremy
how does him winning twice prove that it's not totally random?
What are the chances of the same winning front row back to back to shows?.....Pretty much in the same general area in the front row.........Wow....He must be really lucky....He should have went and purchased a lottery ticket with that luck...
Jeremy
bottom line is there is a chance it could happen... him winning twice doesn't PROVE anything
why do you sign every one of your posts?
Sure there is a chance it could happen...But, lets say just for the example....There was 2,200 fan club tickets sold at each of these two shows...That this guy won back to back front row tickets.....So, there is a really slim chance this would happen.....Once again.....Just mark the persons name off the row that he won already during that tour......It will take care of this happening......I know and have meet fans who would do anything to be up front just once.....But, you have fans winnning multiple times.......I try help out fans that have never had great tickets...By, selling them my other tickets.....So, that fan can experince checking out the band close up....
Jeremy
Maybe those fans that would "do anything" to be up front just once need to get a greater perspective on
life.
and please, can you learn how to properly include quotes in your posts because you are totally
fucking up the vibe here.

have you seen the toronto 2 thread where some guy tried to break his own neck going for an eddie pick and some other guy gave it to him but was having second thoughts about being generous
It still would be totally random....You just only can win the lottery once for each row...During one tour....I am done with this subject...No need to discuss it any further....I know what I seen....I know many others that agree with me...Does, that make me right....No not 100%...But, this is my own opinion...From my obeservations at pj concerts and talking to other fans...
If people know band members, they can get band tickets. I have had band tickets. They are great seats. That has nothing to do with the 10 Club, more of a VIP thing. Why would the 10 Club give preference to friends of the band when they can get band tickets if they are friends?
I know band members, I've never won the lottery.
If you know anything about statistics, the fact that someone won the lottery for back to back shows is more of a PROOF that it's random, than proof that it's rigged. Have you ever heard the one about having 23 people in a room, there is a better than 50/50 chance that two of them have the same birthday? Randomness is funny like that.
Stop feeling like it is a conspiracy against you. It is not rigged.

ipso facto
You need to cease and desist with logical posts that make sense as they do not register with
people that bang their heads against walls.
I know I will never win so it really doesn't affect me.
It doesn't affect you to the point where you feel the need to hypothosize about the lottery selection
and how you will never win it.
Is that what you meant when you say it doesn't affect you or is there a picture of you
hanging up in the 10club offices with a caption underneath that reads:
"Under no circumstances is this guy allowed to win the lottery"
WIth computers as sophisticated as they are now a days you would think they'd have an algorithm or something so that a person could not win the lottery a second (or third, or fourth etc...) time until everyone has won it atleast once.
A bit complex because some people go to many shows, and some go to very few. Your algorithm would end up favoring those who go to few shows, because the frequent attendees would win the lottery and then be excluded.
Best have an equal chance for each show you attend. A true lottery.
I disagree. Just because you have the time or finances to go to alot of shows shouldn't mean you should win those front row seats more often. And, again, you won't be excluded forever, but yeah, once you win it once it's time to let others have a chance, once they've had theirs, then you'll be up to bat again. We'll have to agree to disagree here.

Cool. I thought this thread would never end. Thank you for doing the right thing and sticking to your word and not posting on this subject anymore in this thread.
I always thought that the more goods that you bought from Ten Club the better your chances would be. I mean they know how much each of us spend on this site. It's kind of like looking after the people that look after you. All I really buy through the club is tickets so I would assume that my chances would be lowered by that fact. Just my theory.

so back to my other question
why do you sign your posts?
Why is your screen pillowpants?....Does it really matter?....No....
I think I've been to 22 shows since the lottery started, and all but 1 with the same friend who is also a Ten Club member and I have never won the lottery. We allways get tickets with my membership number as it is higher, but I had to sit out the last show we wanted to go to for work so he took his girlfriend using his membership number for the first time...of course he wins the lottery for Row 1.

nah, that theory doesn't hold water either because I have never spent a dime on anything
from the goods section and including last night I have now won the lottery 8 times.

either way the odds would be roughly 0.1% or 0.5% assuming 75 front row tickets per show.
